The Young and the Restless spoilers – Billy Abbott was initially thought to be involved in the stabbing, and in a way he kind of was

One minute Victoria was the belle of the ball, enjoying her place at the right hand of her father, who was being toasted for a 50 year run as Genoa City’s titan of industry. The next minute her lung and kidney were lacerated, the doing of a mad man with a case of mistaken identity.

If it weren’t for both Amanda (Mishael Morgan) and Victoria talking to Billy, and wearing similar dresses, it could be argued that this never would have happened. Amanda’s creepy ex saw Billy and his ex but didn’t see later that she left and Victoria took her place.

Seething with rage the vengeful man stuck a knife into Victoria’s side, thinking she was Amanda, and ran off.
