Cane realizes that everything that happened between he and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) simply doesn’t matter anymore. His heart belongs to just one woman – the mother of his children – Lily. But does Lily feel the same way about their situation the same way Cane does? Not really.
“Overall Cane is very happy and excited that Lily is finally getting out. He feels as though she should have never gone to jail in the first place because the whole thing with Hilary was a tragic accident.,” Goddard tells CBS Soaps in Depth in a new interview.

“But he is also excited that she is coming home because he knows he made a mistake when he kissed Victoria. He’s tried to talk to Lily about it, but she refused to see him in prison anymore. She wouldn’t let him visit, so there was no way that he could talk to her about it.
“So now it comes down to when she comes home, he will plead his case. He needs to make her understand what a horrible mistake he made.”
He further explained: “Cane realizes that it was not Billy’s fault that his relationship with Lily fell apart. Cane is taking full responsibility for his own actions, and he even tells Billy that everything was his fault.”
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lily Winters Is A Changed Person
While Cane will be doing whatever it takes to save his marriage, Lily might not feel the same way that he does. After all, she’s been through a lot during her time behind bars. What’s more, she might not be the same person now compared to who she was when she left Genoa City.
Trying to save his marriage might be one thing, but trying to deal with this new Lily might be another challenge that Cane might not be prepared for. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
