The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) has to decide if she can forgive Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) for blackmailing her mother and the rest of the coven. While what Tessa did was awful, Mariah cannot discount the fact that she isn’t completely innocent and she has pulled some horrible scams in her day too. Umm, remember when she posed as Cassie to drive her mother crazy?

There’s no doubt that Tessa’s apology was genuine. She seems to care about Mariah. She wants to make it work. She has revealed her role and why she did it. The question is, can Mariah move on and forgive her gal for being tempted by money?

Even though Sharon expressed how much she dislikes Tessa, Mariah wants it to work. She wants a life with Tessa and can see them having a great life together. All she needs to do to make it happen is move on. She has to completely forgive Tessa for the blackmail scam. The question is, can Mariah move on?

Redemption in the works
Right now, Tessa is feeling pretty low. She has no cash. She was fired from her job and she isn’t sure where she stands with Mariah. However, CBS Soaps In Depth suggests that is all about to change. It hints that Mariah will forgive her and Tessa will redeem herself over time.

Years ago there was storyline of a female character that was that way but no where near what they show today with M and T . Just hints and words , I’ve forgotten how the storyline ended , but it did happen on Y&R a long time ago . I bet not many remember that , but I do, the show was ahead of its time for ” back then” …..
There were TWO such storylines! Either that, or two different actresses playing the same role… The 2 scenes I remember was of a plump blonde woman, I think named Joanne. She either worked for Katherine Chancellor as her maid or something… And Mrs C was a lonely alcoholic, so she made the suggestion that Joanne could eat and she herself could drink and together make each other happy… Then she sort of pawed awkwardly at Joanne, and it didn’t go over… The other situation I seem to recall involved a character Susan Seaforth Hayes played (long before she played Lauren’s mom), and she made a move on Ashley or Nikki, and it too didn’t go over… The reason I can’t stand Mariah & Tessa is because it’s so fake & forced! Camryn Grimes is doing her best, but once again it was all so phony & forced! One minute both women are totally heterosexual and totally into guys, the next minute we’re supposed to buy into some grand passion between THEM?! They have zero chemistry, and Tessa is a total grifter! Maybe Mariah & Scott Baldwin would be the perfect coupling! She has always maintained she’s not attracted to women, just this one particular woman. (Kind of like Anne Heche with Ellen DeGeneras) So why not see what sparks can fly with Scott Grainger & Mariah? THAT would be some good chemistry! Probably because they’re both really good actors… This Tessa actress is a very bad actress, is a totally unsympathetic character!
Ashleigh, I seem to remember a younger girl in her 20’s with very long straight hair and was a friend to some one , but she didn’t last long- I’m surprised I can even remember it, it’s been sooo long ago ! ( shows ya how long this old gal has been watchin’ !! ) I like Scott , but I think he is to old for her and has to much ”baggage” with her mom Sharon , how about her and Fen? Nate needs to team up with Devon’s sister …. he needs to do something to do other than breathing down Devon’s back all the time . Here we go trying to match everybody up! You are right about Tessa though , not much goin’ on there- dumb storyline – all of it. With the new writers hopefully thins will change for the better !!
I hate them! Zero chemistry and totally forced. Tessa is a bad actress & a very unsympathetic character! Mariah has said from the start that she is not at all into women, in general, just this one particular woman, so maybe she’s like Anne Heche! Was with only men before & after Ellen! I’d like to see Scott Grainger blow back into town and hit it off with Mariah! Watch sparks fly & make them a couple! Tessa needs to go! She’s a grifter, a con, a user, a liar, and is such a bad actress! Let her start singing again and be sent on a tour. She needs to go! I don’t care about her or her sister Crystal or anything about Tessa! She’s into men, not women, just as Mariah is into men not women. They have a friendship & this just feels like playing at experimentation, which is fine, but I’m not feeling it AT ALL! And since Mariah said she’s not into women, in general, that it was Tessa-specific, the writers better not just throw random women at Mariah from here on… Put her with a great guy and let there be an awakening struggle, like “wow, I feel something for this guy, but I feel it for Tessa, too”… Then she can compare his honorable ways w/Tessa’s con-artist existence. She’s a liar & a thief, a total grifter. Scott is hot & a nice person… Put her w/Scott! Make Tessa leave Genoa City!

They are ridiculous. Can’t stand this story line. Get rid of Tessa. She thinks she’s a singer. Haha. Not. She sucks!
No I don’t like them as a couple and I think Tessa is just using her and Mariah
can’t see it and she doesn’t like it when other people tell her.
