The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) will have a setback that could put the Winters on alert. His behavior at Devon’s (Bryton James) New Year’s Eve party concerns the family and prompts the whole family to wonder if he is really okay.
Y&R Spoilers – Lily’s Visit Cut Short
According to CBS Soaps In Depth, Cane’s visit with Lily (Christel Khalil) in prison was cut short. He was late due to a major traffic jam. His visit only lasted 30 minutes, which was not enough time for them. It created stress and tension. Cane starts to think this life of taking care of the kids and finding the time to see Lily is taking a toll on him. He decides he needs something to take the edge off and make him forget about his troubles.
Young and The Restless – NYE Party Spells Trouble For Cane
Cane arrives at Devon’s party and he makes a beeline to get a drink. And, he doesn’t stop with just one drink either. He slams drink after drink down, which put Devon and the Winters family on alert. They know it’s only one night, but the twins cannot afford for Cane to lose it with Lily away.
Will he cheat?

It seems to be the road the storyline may be going. With Cane drinking, it seems like a logical step to have him get really drunk, cheat on Lily, and then struggle with the guilt. The writers have to do something to give Cane a storyline, as his airtime has been very few and far in between.
A hot Y&R rumor on social media suggests that Cane with cheat with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). That seems unlikely with Victoria and Billy (Jason Thompson) growing closer. We’ll have to wait until next week to see how it plays out on The Young and the Restless.

@Bbb – Yes, Mal Young is out as Head Writer. Bad part is, it will take 4-6 weeks to see what new head writer Josh Griffith has written. I wonder if some characters will be leaving??????????????????

I do not understand why people need to drink like that is going to change any thing. Cane is being very foolish about everything!!!
@prayerlady – I think Cane thinks Charlie is perfect and can do nothing wrong. Cane remembers what Reed did before, drinking and driving. He forgets that Charlie was in the car when Hillary and Lily got into their accident, and now again with Reed. It is the second time that there has been a collision, and Charlie was involved in them both. Looking for Shawna that ran away was the cause of the first one.
Lola is over reacting with Kyle’s gift. He was doing something nice ok so he over spent take it back get a cheaper purse and use the money for a charity of your choice. Grow up Lola.
@Nieecy – I know, I missed the part that apparently he saw her looking at the purse online before and wanted to get her something that he knew she would like.
She can use the money that she is going to earn from her new business ventures. I think she could have just enjoyed the purse that Kyle got for her.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
