Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that even Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) realized that Chelsea belonged with Adam, and turned her loose on New Year’s Eve. Chelsea was in denial that she still loved Adam, and Adam slowly brought her out of her denial by getting her to talk about what they had in the past and letting her know that he was still in love with her and wanted them to reignite their love for one another.

As Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) sensed his parents becoming more of a cohesive unit, his problems were diminishing and he became a much happier and less frightened little boy as well. Chelsea finally admitted she still loved Adam but she was afraid of losing him again.

Now the couple has talked everything out and all is in the open, they have consummated their relationship anew and are ready to start the next chapter of their lives together with Connor! Oh, and don’t forget Oliver, the family’s new feline furbaby. Connor would have readers to be reminded of that!

Adam and Chelsea have reconciled and now they start their new chapter, with Connor and kitten Oliver as an official family. Chelsea has told a couple of close friends, namely Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) who Chloe tried to get to talk Chelsea out of the reconciliation with Adam, saying Adam is a sociopath!

Chelsea didn’t listen, and Billy told her to follow her heart and be who she is! Chelsea was thrilled in a recent episode when Adam took the reigns of a real dad and called Connor’s school to advise the principal that Connor’s behavioral problems had improved, and talked the principal into giving Connor another chance at coming back to school, since changing to another school would just be another adjustment that Connor may have problems with – his problems appeared to be due to lack of stability.

However, the couple decides to wait just a little while before totally going public, just to make sure that no problems others may have with their decision could affect Connor at school.

That is the one thing they and Connor don’t need, are the opinions of others getting in the way. They want to make sure Connor is totally stable and happy before going public. They can’t afford for Connor to go through any more trauma or stress in his young life, especially not because of their reconciliation!
