Young And The Restless Spoilers: Claire Set Her Sights On Nate, More Revenge Tactics Against Victoria?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that this may not be the last of Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) in Genoa City. While the police dragged her away after the Newmans were successfully able to convince her to save them, there’s a good chance that she’ll pop back into the little town at some point soon; there’s also a good chance she’ll end up being Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) long lost daughter.

But before things get better between Claire and her parents, will she try to zero in on her mother’s boyfriend?

Y&R Spoilers: Claire’s Infatuation With Nate, Pre-Lake House

Y&R spoilers imply that Claire may have had a crush or infatuation with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) while she worked at Newman as Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) assistant.

As she knew/thought she was Vic’s daughter at the time and scheming to bring her down, Claire may have secretly wanted to snag her bio mom’s boyfriend out from underneath her by her pseudo-flirting and sweetness.

It’s hard to say how things will go for Claire moving forward. As there is a shadow of doubt as to whether or not she’s a Newman, there’s a good chance that a DNA test will come into play in the aftermath of the lake house debacle.

Vicky was adamant that Claire was not her daughter, as she believed Baby Eve Nicole Howard had died. If it’s proven that Ms. Grace is indeed the baby that she thought had died so many years ago, Claire may have underlying animosity towards Vic.

As such, Nate could be a target of her affection and she may gravitate towards her mom’s boyfriend in hopes of befriending him, just to spite Victoria.

Y&R Spoilers: The Text Message He Never Got

During a recent Y&R episode (while the Newmans were fighting their way out of the lake house to survive), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) questioned Nate as to whether he had seen or heard from Victoria.

She had been unreachable for about a day and a bit, and while Billy received an odd text from her, Nate hadn’t.

It’s interesting that Claire chose to exclude Nate from the texts she sent out, after all, Ms. Grace was in charge of the messages to ensure that no one would come looking for Vic and her family.

Was this a seed in a larger plan to cause even more issues in her mom’s life by placing a wedge between the couple?
