Young and the Restless Spoilers: Devon Dealing With Amanda – Cane’s Betrayal Questioned

Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) latest shocker on ‘The Young and the Restless’ has him potentially fighting a two-front battle. With Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) doppelganger status recently sprung on him, news that Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) may inherit what was Devon’s portion of his grandmother’s will is an enormous plot point to digest.

As Jill Fenmore (Jess Walton) so rightly said, she knew Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) better than anyone. There would seem to be no reasonable way that she would have actually tapped Cane to receive half her fortune, with Devon then being part of a group that split one quarter of the total estate.

However, hardcore Y&R fans know about Cane’s shady past and his more recent personal strife. So it’s always possible that there’s more to learn in this evolving storyline.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Daytime History Is Often Rewritten

Many soap operas have often gone back in history and re-imagined it. Maybe Katherine did want to have her fortune spread more equitably among her heirs.

But if that was the case, why would Cane be the major beneficiary in this instance? She formed a bond with him. But he wasn’t blood, as far as viewers know.

More of the past will have to be detailed if, in fact, Goddard’s character actually comes to legitimately inherit nearly two and a half billion dollars from the ‘Grande Dame’. And if so, Devon’s life will be radically altered as a result.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Comeback Called For

Hallowed ground is mined whenever the Chancellor legacy is visually referenced. This family dates back to Y&R’s 1973 debut year.

Iconic scenes between Cooper and John Considine (the original Phillip Chancellor II, 1973-1974) and the actor who’s always shown in flashbacks, Donnelly Rhodes, who portrayed the second and last Phillip Chancellor II from 1974-1975, serve as back story information. Phillip Chancellor III (Thom Bierdz) and Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) are Phillip IV’s parents.

John Driscoll (with Chance being Phillip IV’s nickname) last appeared on Y&R in 2011. There’s no available record of him having acted since. So, if the character he played is about to be revived, then Driscoll with either dust off his acting chops or a recast will happen.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – What Will Be Amanda Sinclair’s Impact?

Morgan’s new character is already making an impact, as Devon and all connected Genoa City, Wisconsin, residents are naturally thrown by her eerie resemblance to the late Hilary Hamilton (Morgan’s initial character).

Viewers know that Amanda wasn’t aware that her appearance was being used as part of a potential scheme to challenge Katherine’s will.

However, the fans will need to be given more information so they can learn if Chance is truly driving what’s happening, as his connection to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is known. And, Amanda’s striking look surely suggests an arc where she eventually learns that Hilary was her unknown relative. Amanda doesn’t impress me. She’s as wicked as Hillary was. I think this Will thing is a scam.
