Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) is very upset that she and her son Kyle Abbott (Micheal Mealor) are on the outs. The good news is that she and hubby Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) are stronger than ever, but could this all change in the weeks and months to come?

Y&R spoilers for fall reveal that Diane is going to do just about anything to get back into Kyle’s good books. She is rotting with mom guilt right now, especially since her son has been quick to remind her that he has abandonment issues because she faked her death while he was a child.

But how far will Diane go to repair her relationship with her son? Will she sacrifice her marriage to do so?

Fans recall that Jack supported her when she fired Kyle from Jabot. After all, had he been any other employee acting the way he was, Diane would have handed them a pink slip far sooner than she did.

In the meantime, as much as Jack loves his son, he’s acknowledged that Kyle is acting like an entitled brat (he’s not wrong).

Jack has even suggested the best thing they can do for Kyle, as his parents, is to allow him to fall flat on his face. Diane agreed to this, but could she go back on her word?

What if Diane decides to go behind Jack’s back and strike up a deal with Kyle in an effort to mend fences? As Jabot’s CEO, she may also go over Jack’s head for a decision that concerns Kyle, whether it be him working at the company or something else.

Then again, if Victor pushes her buttons, maybe she strikes up a deal where he fires Kyle, and she gives him insider information on Jabot in return. Could Diane cross a line in her marriage to get back into her son’s good graces?
