Chance now knows that Summer is in cahoots with Phyllis and likely found her a new hiding spot (thanks to Kyle), and he issued her a warning. After that, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) met up with his sister in the park and the two began strategizing on how their mom could “return” to the land of the living, without facing jail time.
Right now, the focus is on Jeremy’s death. According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Chance can’t guarantee Phyllis wouldn’t spend time in jail for killing Stark, and that the evidence would prove it was self-defense. Summer made a comment to Daniel that “if only someone” could vouch for their mom. Even if they had to pay that person off to do so.

From the moment EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) caught Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) taking back her engagement ring from the lifeless hand of Red as she was being stretchered away, fans knew he’d be back in the picture somehow. Especially after Jeremy paid him off in the hotel room, after “Phyllis died”.
