Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers state that Sharon Rosales hasn’t been interested in pursuing romance since her husband Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) passed away. Who could blame her? Grieving a loss looks different for everyone. The good news is, the character’s portrayer, Sharon Case, recently revealed that Sharon will finally be ready to “move on” with someone, very soon.

Case recently caught up with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) on their podcast. She recalled the loss of Rey for both her character and herself. The actress notes that those scenes around losing Rey were hard, especially knowing the actor (Jordi) whom she worked with for so long was also leaving the show, too.
Case goes on to explain why Sharon hasn’t been able to move on since Rey’s death. Not only is Ms. Rosales mourning the loss of her husband, but Sharon also was dealing with trauma. After all, the car accident and passing of Rey blindsided her; it blindsided fans, too. Case tells SOD it was a lot for Sharon to endure, and she needed time.

Case goes on to tell SOD she knows fans have been wanting “more” from her character and she reveals that Sharon’s next storyline will involve her being ready to “move on” with someone. Ms. Rosales recently noted after the Cameron Kirsten (Liden Ashby) debacle that she felt as if she was “waking up” to life, and Case states that this will be a part of things for Sharon’s next chapter.
The actress goes on to say that the situation with Cameron “jarred” her out of her mourning period. She adds that Sharon will decide to take steps forward and control of her life. Sounds like this will also include a new love.
But will it be someone “new” or could she reunite with an old flame – looking at you, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)! Only time will tell.
