Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday August 16: Abbotts Prepare For Celebration, Kyle and Lola’s Wedding Begins

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday August 16th indicate it’s going to be a big day for everyone in Genoa City as they gather for the wedding of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Kyle’s Cold Feet

Kyle is at Crimson Lights when he receives a message from Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) who says it’s the end of the world for Kyle.

Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) are at the Abbott house getting ready for the wedding. The sisters chat about their family and how they’ve had a string of good luck. Kyle comes in looking down and he tells his aunts that their family doesn’t have a good history when it comes to relationships.

Kyle says that Lola deserves happiness and a man who’ll take care of her. Ashley tells Kyle he’s the right man for Lola. The women offer marriage advice to Kyle, who reminisces about the day he met Lola and how he knew she was the girl for him.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Phyllis and Summer party crashers

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) are having coffee at Crimson Lights. Phyllis suggest they do something fun to take Summer’s mind off of Kyle and Lola’s wedding. Summer surprises her mother when she says she’s invited to the wedding. Phyllis reminds Summer how much Kyle hurt her and asks if her daughter plans to attend the ceremony. Summer says it’s going to be hard going to Kyle’s wedding, but she wants to go and Phyllis offers to accompany her.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Billy’s flashback

At Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) house, she’s on the phone with her brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) discussing his supervised visit with Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is having a flashback of Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) doll. When Victoria asks Billy if everything’s okay, he responds with “never better.”

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Lola’s surprise

Lola is in her dressing room at the venue preparing for the wedding. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) are helping her with hair and makeup. Lola beams with how happy she is and Mariah makes a toast to celebrate the big day. Lola thanks the girls for being her friends and asks them to be there for her and Kyle. The women then present Lola with gifts, a vintage clutch, a new perfume, a blue garter, and Abby’s diamond earrings. The four share a group hug to cement their friendship.

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) arrives to check on Lola, and the two share a moment. Lola thanks him for being a protective brother and for teaching her about courage and confidence.

Later Lola is alone in her room when her mother Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) comes in. Celeste apologizes for the way she reacted and Lola forgives him. Celeste says she’s happy that Lola has Kyle. Lola asks her mother to walk her down the aisle along with Rey. Abby comes in and informs them it’s time for the wedding to start.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Guests start to arrive

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) arrive at the wedding followed by Victoria and Billy. They chat with Kyle and comment on how beautiful the decorations are. Traci and Ashley arrive later. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) arrives later and tells Kyle that he set the bar when it comes to wedding ceremonies. Elena and Devon are sitting down talking, and she informs him that Nate and Abby are back together. As Kyle is chatting with guests, his father Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) pulls him aside to tell him some news.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – The ceremony begins

Guests have been seated, and Phyllis and Summer sneak in and take a seat in the back. Kyle takes his place at the altar and thanks Jack for bringing Celeste to Genoa City. The music begins as Celeste and Rey walk Lola down the aisle. As Celeste is taking her seat, she sees a mysterious figure and realizes it’s Adrian. She confronts him and he says he couldn’t miss his daughter’s wedding. Rey notices them arguing and breaks it up. Celeste warns Adrian not to ruin Lola’s wedding, then returns with Rey to their seats.

The ceremony begins with Kyle and Lola saying their vows. The wedding goes off without a hitch and the minister pronounces them man and wife. Everyone cheers as the two kiss.
