Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday December 20: Nick and Phyllis Make Plans, Chance’s Career Decision, and Summer Accuses Theo Of Wanting Lola

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday December 20th indicate that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) make plans for the holidays, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) seeks career advice, and Summer Newman (Hunter King) accuses Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) of wanting Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Theo wants Lola

At their apartment, Lola and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) finish decorating the tree. Kyle starts gripping about Theo and how he’s trying to take credit for the holiday sales.

Theo is at the bar in Society when Summer joins him. Summer apologizes for not being Lola, but Theo shrugs off her comment to talk about Kyle sabotaging him. Summer tells Theo he needs to stop obsessing over Kyle, and he tells her to do the same thing because she’s still pining over her ex. Summer then accuses Theo of wanting Lola. Theo then says that Summer’s constant pining for Kyle is what caused their break up. Summer says it was Lola that Theo wanted and warns that he’ll never get her. She then says it’s sad how Theo wants all aspects of Kyle’s life. She then advises Theo put more energy into his job and to decide if he’s all in.

Meanwhile, back at their apartment, Lola talks about the holidays as a child. She says it was difficult because their dad wasn’t around. Kyle mentions that his mom wasn’t around much either. Kyle then starts talking about Theo and Lola wants to know why Kyle keeps bringing him up. Kyle admits Theo’s take up space in his head. Theo goes to fetch them some cookies, while Lola looks at a photo of Theo eating at Society.

Back at Society, Summer watches Theo as he texts Lola and waits for a reply.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Devon’s gift to Elena

At the penthouse, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) go over her work schedule. She has New Year’s Eve off and Devon plans to do something special. Devon reveals to Elena that he’s booked them a trip to London, and Elena is thrilled. Devon says the vacation is what they need to hit the reset button. The two continue to talk about the trip, and Elena and Devon discuss how this will be his first Christmas without Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John).

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Chance’s career change

Chance meets Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) at Crimson Lights, and they discuss the hostage situation at the hotel. Paul tells Chance he did good, although Paul was disappointed not to be involved in the good stuff. Chance asks Paul about being a PI. Chance mentions he’s considering a change in career and talks about how stressful undercover work was and how it affected his life. Paul says that being a PI means the work is a lot slower. Paul then brings up Chance’s past of leaving town when things get antsy.

After Paul leaves, Phyllis ambushes Chance to ask if his conversation with Paul had anything to do with Vegas. Chance tells Phyllis to mind her own business, but she says the more he pushes her out the more persistent she’ll be.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Jack’s concern about Billy

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) stops by Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) house to see Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Jack is happy to hear about Billy’s new job, and Billy says he’s free. Jack mentions something’s keeping Billy from spending time with the family and invites Billy to Christmas at the Abbott mansion. Billy says he, Victoria, and the kids are going to Telluride for the holidays.

Jack brings up his concerns, and says Billy seems distracted and won’t return his calls. Billy remarks he doesn’t need Jack coming to his rescue. When Jack asks if Billy’s still seeing his therapist, he mentions that the doctor’s away and he’s seeing someone new. Jack says it looks like things are going well for Billy, and mentions Christmas won’t be the same without him. After Jack leaves, Billy talks to himself and says Jack doesn’t need to know what’s going on inside.

Later Billy is at Crimson Lights when Phyllis comes in. The two chat and Billy admits he admires Phyllis for always standing her ground and gaining control of her life. Phyllis senses Billy’s envious and asks if he’s okay. Billy tells her about his new job, and Phyllis says she thinks he can do better. Billy gets upset and says Phyllis is like everyone else criticizing his life. Phyllis reminds him she’s always been his biggest supporter and tells him he deserves a good life, and to do what it takes to get it.

Billy arrives at the bar and is asked to join a poker game. He agrees to play one hand. After the game is over, he remarks that it was easier than he thought.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Phyllis and Nick’s holiday plans

Phyllis is in the lobby of the Grand Phoenix wrapping gifts. Nick comes in and asks if Phyllis has seen Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Phyllis responds that he should check Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) place. When Nick says he’s going to check the bar for Chelsea, Phyllis says Chelsea’s probably finding another old man to swindle money from. Phyllis then switches the topic to Summer and Christmas.

Phyllis wants to spend Christmas Day with Summer, even though she knows Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will want everyone at the ranch for Christmas. Nick agrees to Phyllis’ request and says he’ll take care of everything with Victor. Phyllis then brings up the fact that Nick’s going through a rough time. Phyllis knows she can rile him up, but promises to be on her best behavior for Christmas. Nick suggests that it would be nice if he, Phyllis, and Summer can spend time together on Christmas, but says there will be no drama. Phyllis agrees.

Chelsea arrives at the hotel to see Phyllis and Nick together. Chelsea interrupts them and makes a jab about Phyllis’ new job being a gift wrapper. Phyllis tells Nick she’ll see him on Christmas, then leaves. Chelsea says the other night was incredible and she’s happy they were able to spend time together. She then updates Nick on Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and says the boy appears to be doing better.

Nick says that’s good news and hope Chelsea and Connor can spend the day with him and Christian Newman (Alex Wilson). Chelsea asks if Adam is invited, and Nick says having Adam there will complicate things. Chelsea then brings up how he invited Phyllis and she’s complicated. Nick makes a comment about how Phyllis never tried to murder Victor, and Chelsea responds not yet. Nick eventually agrees to invite Adam saying it’ll be great for the boys, and for him and Chelsea to spend time together.
