Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday October 18: Nick Decides to Bring Adam Home, Cane Discovers Katherine’s Will, and Phyllis Plots against Abby

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday October 18th indicate that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) agrees to bring Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) home, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goodard) discovers Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) secretly plots against Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).

At Nick’s house, he and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) are talking about how they feel things are changing for the better. They say talk about how Nick is a good father figure and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) deserves someone like him in his life. She tells Nick he’s perfect and she’s forgiven him for lying to her. Nick decides to put the kids to bed so he and Chelsea can have some alone time, but he can’t find Christian Newman (Alex Wilson).

When they ask Connor, he mentions that Christian may be in the backyard looking at the owls. Nick goes outside to check, while Chelsea asks Connor if there’s any other place Christian could be. Nick comes back with a scared Christian, who cries as Chelsea comforts him. They learn that Christian was locked in the garage and ask the boy if Connor locked him in there. When Chelsea asks Connor for the truth, he admits he did lock Christian in the garage because he was being whiny.

Chelsea is stunned by her son’s behavior, then Connor asks his mom if she’s going to send him away just like she did his father. Chelsea makes Connor apologize to Christian, then sends him to his room. Nick puts Christian to bed, then he and Chelsea have a heated discussion about bring Adam home. Nick is against the idea, but Chelsea says Adam caused these problems and he needs to fix it.

Later Phyllis arrives, and Chelsea asks for her help in finding Adam. At first, Phyllis refuses because she thinks this is another trap for Adam. Chelsea and Nick say it’s not a trick, and they’re offering him a second chance. Phyllis gives them the information about Adam’s whereabouts. Later Nick tells Chelsea he’s going to Vegas to convince Adam to come home.

At his penthouse, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is having a heated discussion with a caller. After he hangs up, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) talks about how the situation with the will is stressing him. Devon says he’s got a lot on his plate searching for the person behind the will, and plus he’s worried about his dad Tucker McCall (Stephen Nichols).

Elena again says the whole thing is a scam and wonders if the old jerk Amanda Sinclair (Mishel Morgan) talked about could be Tucker. Devon considered that a possibility and worries that Tucker has gotten himself into trouble. Devon then tells Elena that Cane is also missing. Elena says she hopes they can find explanation and Devon hopes she right.

Later Devon meets Amanda at the Grand Phoenix and proposes a way to help her since someone is trying to take advantage of her. Amanda says she can’t be bribed and Devon says that’s not what he’s doing. Devon says he wants to help her and says he’ll give a letter of recommendation for when she goes home. Amanda brings up how Devon wants her to leave town because she’s a reminder of his late wife. An angry Devon loses his cool and says Amanda can either go home or go down in flames.

Elena meets Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at Crimson Lights. She thanks him for stopping by, then they talk about Tucker, Cane, and Amanda. Elena becomes irritated when Nate says they’ve been unfair to Amanda. Nate says that Amanda is a smart woman and there’s no way she’d get involved in a scam. Elena says Nate is being blinded by Amanda’s looks, then apologizes for her outburst. Nate then switches the topic to his break up with Abby. Elena says he has something special with Abby and encourages him not to give up on her.

Later Nate goes to the Grand Phoenix to see Abby, but runs into Amanda. She brings up him and Devon playing the good cop and bad cop routine. Nate asks Amanda why is she putting herself through all this trouble. Amanda says that’s a good question, one she can’t answer. The two start talking about their careers and Amanda admits she’s frustrated with her client. Nate asks why her partner can’t take over the case, and she says that her partner died. He offers his condolences, then wishes her luck with her career.

An unconscious Cane is seen in a dark room, then we see a mystery person close the door. Later Cane wakes up and when he turns on the lights, he finds an envelope. He opens the envelope to find Katherine’s last will and testament. Cane takes the envelope and leaves the room. Once he’s safe, he calls Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and says he’s got the original copy of Katherine’s will and he’ll be home soon.

Phyllis and Abby are at the Grand Phoenix arguing about the security system. Abby doesn’t want to discuss it, but Phyllis keeps pestering her saying she’s not taking no for an answer. Abby agrees to discuss it with Phyllis and she agrees it’s a good idea, but has concerns when it comes to who will secure the system. Phyllis brushes off Abby’s paranoia and says no one else will have authorization to the system. Abby then agrees to move forward with the plans for the security system. After Abby leaves, Phyllis smirks and says that Abby’s so busy with other aspects of her life, she has no idea what Phyllis is up to.
