Young & The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman’s decision

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) arrives at Adam’s house to invite him to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) funeral. Adam is skeptical, but Nick says it would be part of Victor’s wishes. The two start bickering about how similar Adam was to Victor, and Nick says that if Adam’s a decent human being he’ll do the right thing. After Nick leaves, Adam collapses to the floor crying.

Adam begins packing a suitcase when Phyllis arrives, she tells him it’s time to take over Newman Enterprises and he can’t leave. She says he needs to strike now before the will is read. Adam talks about his plan and how it didn’t include Victor dying. She says the guilt is forcing him to leave. Adam says it was a mistake returning to Genoa City. Phyllis says that from beyond the grave Victor is still winning and warns Adam not to do anything stupid. Phyllis tells Adam she’ll miss him and asks if she could stay at the penthouse while he’s away. He gives her the keys as he leaves.

Later at the park, Adam tells Chelsea he’s sorry for telling Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) about Victor’s death. His emotions got the best of him. He tells Chelsea that he’s planning to leave Genoa City for good and Chelsea wonders if it’s true that he was involved in Victor’s death. Adam says Connor will be better off without him. Chelsea calls Adam selfish and says he’s horrible for abandoning his son. She says that if Adam’s leaving for good, he needs to tell Connor himself.

Chelsea and Adam arrive at Nick’s home, and Connor is suspicious of his parents’ behavior. Adam tells Connor that he’s leaving town for good, and the boy breaks down in tears and begs to go with his father. Connor then asks if he did something to make Adam want to leave, and Adam responds that Connor’s the perfect boy. Adam calls himself a screw up who’ll hurt his son, and Connor responds that Adam is a good dad. Connor begs Chelsea to get Adam to stay, but she doesn’t say anything. Connor screams that he doesn’t want Nick to be his dad, he wants Adam. Connor then runs into the other room. As Adam’s leaving, he receives a text message and has a shocked expression on his face.

After Adam leaves, Chelsea comforts a heartbroken Adam.

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman and Nikki Newman’s next step in the plan

Victor, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) are at the ranch discussing Nick reaching out to Adam. It’s the next step in their plan. Victoria wonders what they’ll do if Adam won’t come to the funeral and Victor says that Adam will come out of guilt. When Summer Newman (Hunter King) arrives, Victor hides, but eavesdrops on the ladies’ conversation. Summer cries as she talks about how much she misses her grandfather. When Nick arrives he comforts his daughter.

Summer stays a few more moments, then leaves. Once she’s gone, Victor comes out of hiding. He feels guilty for putting the family through this and apologizes. Nick says they’re keeping it from Summer so Phyllis doesn’t find out, then he talks about taking care of Connor once Adam goes to prison. Victor expresses sadness over Adam showing little remorse, then goes upstairs. Nikki then tells Nick and Victoria that Adam’s not capable of giving Victor what he wants.

Later Victor is alone in the den, sitting at his chess board when Adam comes in. Adam responds, “well played, pops.”

Young & The Restless Spoilers – Theo Vanderway’s bothersome presence

He says it’s made him think about what’s important in life and what he wants for the future. Their discussion then turns to Summer and Lola says she’s glad Summer’s got Kyle as a friend. Kyle brings up Theo and how he wishes Summer wasn’t involved with him. Kyle notices Lola’s bandaged finger and she tells him she accidentally cut herself, but leaves out the part about her talk with Theo.

Theo sees Phyllis at the Grand Phoenix and makes a snide comment about her losing stake in the hotel. But she’s quick to tell him that she’s now a partner in the hotel. Their conversation is cut short when Mariah arrives for a meeting with Theo. Their meeting gets off to a bad start when Mariah brings up Theo hitting on Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Theo says it was just harmless flirting, then Mariah brings up sexual harassment training and how he can’t do this type of stuff anymore. Summer arrives and Mariah offer her condolences.

After Mariah leaves, Theo takes Summer up to a room and wants to make love. Summer is disgusted that Theo would think of such a thing when she’s grieving over her grandfather. Summer brings up Kyle comforting her and Theo’s hurt. He opened up to her about his father’s death and she didn’t show any concern instead she ran off to see Kyle. Summer apologizes for her behavior and Theo embraces her.

This show doesn’t make any sense these days! 4 times attempted murderers can walk free or even run around town proud of the fact. Adam on the other hand is a villain, for what switching some medicine! Paul can get busy on this case with no body but can’t seem to be bothered to do his job in any other respect. These stories are rediculous!! I was writing better stories at the age of 7. It’s insulting. The thought of watching childish garbage where Kevin is making a fool of Paul yet again makes me mad. I know it’s a soap but Kevin working for Paul just makes Paul’s character a pathetic joke. Why would the police chief give employment to someone who has harboured a criminal? Da, he wouldn’t, not if he had a brain! Bad enough in the past when Kevin constantly gave confidential police information to just about anyone that walked up to his desk (with Paul just feet away) and ask for it!!! Do these writers think that all of us fans and viewers are as brain-dead and stupid as they obviously are?
