Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers promise more plot twists when it comes to the Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) “death” storyline. Fans know a massive setup is on the horizon for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), but could Red and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) pull this off on their own, or could they be getting some help from Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd)?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – There’s Been Something “Off” About Chance Chancellor
Y&R spoilers suggest that something is “off” about Chance as of late, especially in relation to this investigation. He wasn’t at the bicentennial gala because of a “stakeout”; one that the cop himself noted, “was a bust”. It’s not only interesting that he did not attend the event, but that he went on to tell everyone it was because he was “undercover”.
After all, his mom Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) believed he purposely skipped the event because he didn’t want to run into ex-wife Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway). The fact that the writers had Chance go out of his way to re-state and explain this all seems fishy; or possibly key to solving the entire puzzle around what Jeremy and Phyllis are up to.
Chance also had a blood sample run from the ambulance crash, which he specifically told a colleague to keep under wraps. Chancellor is a “by the books” type of cop. It’s completely odd for him to do something of this sort.

For those fans that may recall, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) worked hard to frame Jeremy Stark. During the scheme, they used Chance in a terrible way to move their agenda forward. While Chancellor could not prove what they did, he’s likely never forgotten what happened and is still quite upset over the ordeal. He could be ready to throw the rule book out the window at this point to teach both Diane and Jack that they aren’t above the law.
Could Phyllis, sensing Chance’s anger, bring him into the loop about her plan with Jeremy? Maybe Stark had a small bit of evidence around his framing and was released from prison to finally nab Diane (and Jack) for crimes committed. It’s still weird that Jeremy got out of jail so soon. Perhaps, Chancellor is in on all this because of strict orders from a higher police power. Regardless, it seems as if there’s a good chance that Chance is in the “know” about what’s “really” going on.
Does Chance Chancellor know more than he’s letting on? Could he be “in on” Jeremy and Phyllis’s plan? Have your say in the comment section. Tune into the Y&R on CBC to watch what happens next and visit this site for all the latest Young and the Restless news and spoilers.
