Critique is common in today’s social media age, where people feel compelled to offer their opinions about any subject. That reality played into the atmosphere that enveloped the extended J.T.-based storyline.
Kudos are offered to any and all at Y&R who decided to bring back Luckinbill’s character. Doing so allowed J.T.’s legacy to wallow in monster status. Instead, the soapy story, where he was pushed through the Chancellor Park grave into a storm drain, thereby allowing him to live, is acceptable from this perspective.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – No Cop Out From J.T. Hellstrom
Longtime Y&R fans, along with those who came to the show more recently, were not forced to accept that J.T. went dark simply because of career setbacks and because he acted on a held grudge against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), due to Colleen’s (Tammin Sursok) death.
Luckinbill’s hospital bed scene with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was particularly touching and realistic. J.T. didn’t cop out, by blaming all of his behavior on the revealed and now removed brain tumor on his frontal lobe. He took responsibility for not having gotten help and is facing legal action for having tried to kill Victor as well.
The overturn of Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott), Vickie’s, and Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) convictions obviously makes sense. The vacating of their sentences is also digestible, in that it allows all characters to advance.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Christine William’s Comments Touching
Christine William’s (Lauralee Bell) comments to J.T. were also moving. Her mention of Paul William’s (Doug Davidson) strong feelings for him, especially in light of all that happened, added particular depth because of how the Chief utilized J.T. during the investigation of Braeden’s character and because of Davidson’s cast comeback.
Yes, this was a long-form story that Y&R told. Devoted viewers invested significant time within the last year-plus to it and are ready to see various characters begin new adventures.

Yes. But technically, he is still in our face so its not over. We all know that after “the tumor made me do it” revaluation burns out all the BS is still there.
Now he needs to move on . We are done with him and his crap .
I was hoping that they would blow up the cottage – they haven’t done that for a while.
And everyone inside would be dead, but somejhow, in the end, survive.
Except Christine AKA Cricket. Her funeral could show her to be as dead as her acting ability.
JT could now take that job in Poland.
What will be the next dragged out storyline .
Probably the Summer/Kyle/Lola triangle. Summer will surely be preggers — heaven forbid that brat should be blessed with a child — and Kyle will be made to feel like he has to stay in a loveless marriage with the witch. Meanwhile, Kyle’s feelings for Lola will not go away. He really wants to be with Lola, NOT Summer. Summer needs to realize Kyle will never love her — or the kid — and take her leave from GC, PERMANENTLY! Why is Hunter King still on Y&R? Fans want her GONE!!!!
Yes. Victoria doesn’t need to get mixed up with JT again. Send him off to jail for his crimes and let Victoria move on with Billy. Can’t see how Ex’s in real life could successfully work together.
Yes do not like him coming between Billy and Victoria. BILLY AND VICTORIA need to be together!!!!!!!!!!!
I think JT should be kept around for a while, not only to face the charges of his trying to kill Victor, but to also reconnect with Reed. Victoria is clearly out of touch in raising a teenaged boy. If Billy stays around, at least johnny and Katie might have a chance to grow up without parental issues.
YES !! It wont end there , he needs to be charged for trying to kill Victor twice -tumor or not.
