One is Michelle Stafford who plays Phyllis Newman and the other is Melissa Claire Egan who plays Chelsea Lawson.
Both female characters have been involved with Nick and have spent much time onscreen interacting so it’s easy to see why he’s grown close to them over the years. He recently had a chat with Soap Opera Spy about his friendships and we have all the details about what he had to say about his lovely and talented costars for you right here!
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Joshua Morrow Is Happy To Have Two Of His Favorite Costars Back In His Orbit
Morrow shares that he and Michelle Stafford have been friends for ages. “I mean, she and my wife are even friends,” he says. She’s just a great lady and she kills me.”
According to Morrow he, “loves listening to her stories about her kids. I was so excited for her when she was going through her own journey with starting her family.”
Unfortunately, right about that time Stafford left the show, eventually landing on ABC’s General Hospital where she played the role of Nina Reeves.
Morrow says that when she left there was a sort of void in her wake but, “And then she came back and it’s just been awesome.”
Y&R Spoilers – Joshua Morrow Dishes On Two Of His Favorite Onscreen Costars
Morrow was just as enthusiastic when discussing, “one of my best friends in the world,” Melissa Claire Egan. “She’s just like my bro and we talk about everything.”
His affection for her is clear as he enthuses, “She’s just an awesome chick and we can tell each other anything.”
Like Stafford, she too left the show at one point, leaving Morrow, “so sad, but I knew kind of what was going on,” he said.
Morrow said he pestered TPTB for her return and when a comeback was in the works he, “could not have been more excited.”
In conclusion, Morrow said, “They’re both great friends of mine and I love them to death … who doesn’t want their homes to come back?” Aw!
Glad they all get along, but unfortunately Josh’s friends are screen hogs. Not their fault, it’s the writers and producers, but I noticed many other beloved cast members shoved to the background when they returned. Nick, Phyllis and Chelsea dominated the screen last year on the show and I soon grew tired of them all. I don’t want anyone to leave, just hope when the show returns they reach a better balance with story and it’s not the Nick & his women hour. Yawn!
He needs someone new, with no history and see how his parents get along with her.
Not Phyllis, that’s for sure. Perhaps he’s better with Sharon or someone new,
