Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of June 17 reveal that Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) will be back home from boarding school, and finally get to meet their half-sister, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).

With Johnny finding out that his cousin Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) was his half-brother, he is used to the crazy family ins and outs that go along with living in Genoa City; however, how will Katie react to her mother’s “new daughter”?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Katie Abbott’s Always Been Vicky’s “Only Daughter”

Y&R spoilers note that Johnny will likely be “easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy” when it comes to Claire. He may even welcome her with open arms. Fans have seen how down-to-earth Johnny is, and he also seems like a good kid who always extends kindness.

Fans haven’t seen much of Katie in recent years, and she’s rarely shown on canvas. The Abbott kids have been at boarding school, so coming home and having a new sister might be an adjustment for the girl.

She’s also younger than Johnny, and as she was once Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) “only” daughter, will she be happy to see Claire or feel some jealousy?

After all, Vicky left her job at Newman to help support Claire, this may have shocked Katie when she found out about it. The girl has grown up seeing her workhorse mom always focus on her career, only to abandon it all for her “other” daughter.

There was never an instance where Vicky took time off for Katie. Will this rub the young girl the wrong way?

Y&R Spoilers – Will Claire Grace Have A Way With Katie?

Claire’s been touted as having a way with kids, but will Katie be the exception? In all fairness, the girl does seem to be closer to a tween/teen than a child.

Katie may not only resent the bond she sees between Vicky and Claire, but she may also hate what her half-sister did to their grandma Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and the rest of the family during the whole lake house crisis.

While Vicky may have worked to keep Claire’s role in that mess hidden from her kids, perhaps Katie has heard about it from friends at school.

Much like Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), Katie may simply not trust Claire and be skeptical if she’s really “changed”.
