Young and the Restless Spoilers Leak: Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales) Leaving Y&R?

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that fans should expect major changes to accompany the end of Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cancer storyline. Don’t worry, Sharon survives, but the same can’t be said for her relationship with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) if what we’re hearing is correct.

With the show poised to return to production now that California has lifted the ban on filming, major changes will take place set-side and as well as script-wise. This is according to our CBS insider who is hearng that Rey will leave Genoa City once Sharon’s cancer is in remission and she has her life back.

Will Sharon be the one to realize that her relationship with Rey isn’t all that, or will Rey be the one to call time out on their somewhat faded romance?

Rey’s arrival in Genoa City was a hard landing due to circumstances beyond the control of the actor playing him, Jordi Vilasuso. He was brought on under the regime of an executive producer/head writer who is no longer with the show, in part because many of his decisions and choices were unpopular with fans. One of them was forcing Rey unto the canvas at the cost of what many saw as the sacrificing of veteran actor and fan fave Doug Davidson and his character Paul Williams.

It was not Vilasuso’s fault that his character was not well-received by some of the fanbase. But the truth is Rey was seen as an interloper and many fans just could not warm to the character or accept his presence.
