Young And The Restless Spoilers: Michael Mealor Teases Big Drama This Summer

Summer is bound to get hotter as Michael Mealor’s alter ego, Kyle Abbott, shows a different side of him on “The Young and the Restless.” The actor teased that viewers will see a “steamier, love-drunk, sexier side of Kyle that we haven’t seen before!” He added, “The love triangle [with Summer and Lola] will continue, with drama and the kind of tension that will escalate, but at the same time, there will be a lot of summer delight, if you will!”

Unlike last summer where he had to strip down for the launch of the Jabot marketing campaign, there will be no campaigns this year. Mealor hinted that fans will “see more of Kyle, that’s for sure!”

“It will be fun, because this is the first time we will see him in this light — head over heels in love! We’ve seen him as a jerk, as a businessman, as a family man, with him being a caretaker for Dina, and we’ve seen him hurt… but now we will get to see what Kyle looks like when he’s in love, what he’s willing to do and what he’s willing to sacrifice!” he continued.

Viewers may recall that Kyle’s feelings for Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) has grown stronger than ever and the actor hinted, he’ll do anything for the love of his life. However, he also can’t deny that he still has feelings for Summer Newman (Hunter King).

Mealor said, “I do believe that they will always have a piece of each other’s hearts. He does care for her. There are residual feelings, but they might be very, very subtle. And that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t genuinely care for Lola, because he does love her. He will go to the ends of the earth for her!”

And when it comes to seeing a hotter and sexier Kyle, his portrayer smiled and said, “Summers are a lighter time of the year with soaps. It’s not quite so heavy and dark, so we’re trying to lighten it up… and that might mean the clothes are falling to the floor a little bit!”

Mealor joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless” in 2018. His other TV credits include “Supergirl,” “Roadies,” and “Chasing Life.”
