Mishael Morgan can now finally say that she’s back on “The Young and the Restless,” reprising her role of Hilary Curtis Hamilton in the September 19 episode. The show and Morgan kept a tight lid on her comeback, which made the news of her return more exciting.
Young & The Restless News – Hardest Secret To Keep
In a social media post, she said keeping her return under wraps was the hardest secret she had to keep. She’s also “happy and honoured” to return to the show.
Morgan left the soap last year, and she shared that “the time off was such a welcomed blessing.” “I learned to juggle life, family & career, but I am so happy to be home!” she added.
The actress also took some time to thank all her fans who supported her all the way and said that she got another chance to be part of the show because of them.

“I am so excited to be back home, doing what I love, with all of you cheering me on. I look forward to this new adventure and I hope to create something new but just as special as that girl you all loved to hate,” she continued.
She ended her post saying, “Cheers to this new chapter, with old friends. Now let’s do the damn thing!”

Morgan had a recurring role in “The Best Years” from 2008 to 2009. After that, she landed a gig on “Family Biz” and then got another recurring role on “Republic of Doyle.”
She got minor gigs in films like “Casino Jack” back in 2010 and “Total Recall” in 2012. She also appeared on “Supernatural” and “The Listener” and starred in “Backpackers” in 2014.
Morgan joined “The Young and the Restless” in May 2013 and decided to leave on June 2018. During her stint, she received a few accolades for her impeccable performance. She got two nominations for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Whilst it’s nice to have a talent like Ms Morgan back it’s pathetic continuously having lookalikes and characters rise from the dead. I know it’s a soap but it’s becoming a joke. Can’t the show get some decent writers and build interesting characters without this children’s fairytale element. The characters are becoming weak, even Victor and Jack are loosing their edge. Fans were hopeful if E Braeden ever did need to retire Nick and Sharon might be the next in line. That’s not going to happen if Nick is being turned into a moronic cavemen and Sharon is no longer the love of his life because just about anything in knickers will do, even cons. What guy with the care to provide affordable housing would shack up with such a woman like Chelsea. I don’t see the point in bringing her back with a story which doesn’t match her past. In real life kind hearted Sharon would still be the one! The writers can’t stay on track with characters history. Paul has been returned to be a more stupid police chief than ever, jumping to the Newman’s bidding on accusations from a known feuding family. The writers are not talented enough to continue Mr Bells work that has made this show enjoyed and supported by so many loyal fans. Sad and very disappointing.
WHy is Adam and Pyhillis always getting away with stuff it’s time they both gets what’s coming to them I like Pyhillis but she needs to stop her stuff why can’t Call and Lola be happy and Theo be off the picture and Ray and Sharon get together I’m about to stop watching u all r all over the page with all the different story line before one is finished .What happen to baby Sam .I really don’t care if Lilly and Cane every get back together she is so childish .Let Devon be happy and give Jack someone to love and Tracey they both deverse to be happy and let the Victor mess be done .There is other people on the show where is Faith . I’ve been watching this show for over 50 years watched it faithful be now it’s getting old just my opinion
The timing of her return is suspect. Victor exiting for pay issues and her returning after a former issue with pay. Was Victor’s salary cut to accomodate her? I am done with the Y&R.
Been a Y&R fan a long time. I really miss the Phyllis (Gina)that left the show recently. Got so used to the fire she brought to the show. The previous Phyllis that retutned recently is ok, but
Gina was very intriguing. Loved the reset she put in Phyllisis character.
