Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Amanda Sinclair continues to make waves in Genoa City, and her portrayer, is doing the same when it comes to the film festival circuit. Actress Mishael Morgan recently talked to Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about her new movie, entitled, Sway.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Mishael Morgan On “Sway”
Morgan tells SOD about Sway, which centers around a successful leader from a predominantly Black community, who comes from a low-income neighborhood. The title “Sway” comes from the main character’s nickname.
Mishael goes on to explain that Sway re-imagines his area and helps to redevelop it, with his fellow community members as part of the project versus being pushed out.
Sway successfully transforms his neighborhood, where he sees everyone thriving; however, danger looms when his life spirals and secrets emerge. Morgan states that a lot of things hit the lead character at once, and his life takes a major turn within one night.

Mishael plays Lisa, a woman blackmailing the lead character, Sway, who has a hidden agenda. Morgan states that what she loves most about Lisa is that she isn’t always what she seems.
The actress tells SOD that her Sway character has a secret and almost everything she says has a double meaning to it.
She adds that she loves playing complex characters like Lisa, because of what they have going on underneath the surface.
Morgan and Sway’s star, Emmanuel Kabongo, are quite close, meeting in L.A. through a mutual friend, and becoming good friends themselves. He has babysat her children and come over for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

As he’s also the executive producer on the independent film, he invited Mishael to be a part of it, and she not only acts in the movie but is also EP of the flick, as well. Morgan notes that it was “cool” being able to wear both hats, acting in front and behind the camera.
While there’s no official release date for Sway, Mishael states that some great conversations are being had by them and distributors. With so many networks and streaming platforms out there, they are trying to find the right home for the movie.
