Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday August 26: Adam Makes Shocking Announcement – Michael Gives an Explanation to Kevin – Billy’s Behavior Is Concerning

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday August 26 indicate that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) stuns his family with a shocking announcement, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) has a lot of explaining to do to Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) behavior has others concerned.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is at Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) house visiting with Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). He and Billy talk about Adam, and Billy remarks despite the restraining order Adam’s still a threat to all kids. Victoria interrupts their chat to say Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has called for a meeting.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) are at Crimson Lights discussing Victor’s meeting. Abby worries Victor’s health has taken a turn for the worse, but Nikki assures her that’s not the case. Adam overhears their conversation and follows them when they leave.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Thinks It’s A New Ploy
The family gathers at Newman Enterprises where Victor talks about the restraining order against Adam and fears that he’ll find some way to retaliate. Everyone agrees they’re ready to fight Adam and says they’ll be careful. Adam storms in and talks about the family’s devotion, then criticizes them for going after one of their own. Nick remarks that Adam isn’t a real Newman, then Adam shocks him and the rest of the family.
Adam gives Nick the papers showing he’s dropping the custody suit for Christian, and Victor wonders if there’s a catch. He says he’s doing it for Christian’s well-being and he doesn’t want the boy caught in the midst of an ugly battle. Adam gets back to criticizing the family and says they all have their skeletons in the closet, and he’ll expose them to the entire world. Victor wishes him luck with that.
Adam leaves and Nick wonders if this is a new ploy. Victor expresses how upset he is to see Adam return to his old ways, and says this isn’t the end of Adam’s revenge. Later after the family leaves, Nikki notices Victor’s exhausted, but he assures her he’s fine.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Elena Dawson’s First Day At Her New Job
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are at his penthouse, where he’s cooking her breakfast to celebrate her first day of her residency. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) comes by to pick Elena up because he’s driving her to the hospital. Elena kisses Devon goodbye then leaves for work with Nate.
During a break, Elena and Nate go to Crimson Lights. They discuss work and Nate praises Elena, saying she’s a good fit for the job. Talk turns to Abby and Nate says things are going well between them.
Later Elena arrives home for work and Devon asks about her day. She says she has other plans and starts undressing as the two kiss.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Esther Valentine Happy Her Family’s Home
At the police station, Kevin has been arrested because he punched Michael. As Kevin and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) worry about their legal trouble, Michael comes in to talk to them. He reassures them he’d never do anything to hurt them.
He talks about Chloe being charged with arson in the cabin explosion, but as D.A. he’s going to recommend she receive probation along with out-patient therapy. He also says they’ll be released on bail, and the couple hugs Michael and thanks him for his help. Michael then reassures them Adam is no longer a threat.
Michael escorts Kevin and Chloe home to the Chancellor estate and tells them they’re free, but he also warns them to steer clear of Adam. After Michael leaves, Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) appears and Chloe tells her mother about everything that happened. The two hug and Esther says she’s happy to have her family home. She comments that Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) and Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) are looking after them.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Is Highly Concerned
Bella Mitchell (Cali May Kinder) comes into the room and Chloe proudly announces that “mommy’s home.” Later, Chloe and Kevin are talking and she confesses her fears about people’s reactions to her being back in Genoa City. She also thanks Kevin for sticking by her side and the two share a kiss.
Victoria and Nick go back to her house to find Billy passed out on the couch. Nick goes to get Christian and leaves Billy and Victoria alone. Victoria asks Billy why he’s not at work and he says he was tired and didn’t feel like going. Victoria notices Billy chewing gum and when she makes a remark about it, Billy lashes out about Victoria criticizing his every move. Later, when Victoria is alone with Nick, she talks about how Billy’s issues started with Adam’s return and she’s worried about his behavior.
Later Billy is standing outside of the Chancellor mansion watching Kevin and Chloe. When the couple leaves, Billy sneaks into the house. Billy calls out to Delia asking to see her. Bella comes in and Billy hugs her. Chloe and Kevin follow Bella into the room and are surprised to see Billy.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Has A New Partner
They talk about the charges being dropped and Billy says he’s happy for them. Chloe asks if Billy is okay and he makes an excuse that he stopped by to pick up something for Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). When Chloe and Kevin leave the room, Billy takes out another stick of gum.

Adam arrives home to find Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) waiting for him. Phyllis is ranting about Victor and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) as Adam listens with a smirk on his face. She talks about Victor ruining her plan and how Abby screwed her out of a deal. She goes on about how much she did for Victoria and Nick, but got nothing in return.
Adam pours her a drink and offers a toast to their hatred towards the Newmans, but Phyllis refuses the drink. Adam tells Phyllis she’ll have to learn to trust him if they’re going to be partners. He says he wants to bury his family and Phyllis says she’s on board with the idea. The two clink glasses as they celebrate their partnership.
