Young And The Restless Spoilers: New Details For Kristoff St. John’s Special Tribute Episode Revealed

“The Young and the Restless” has planned a proper send-off to beloved Kristoff St. John and his character Neil Winters. CBS Daytime has revealed that four scripted episodes will be aired from April 23 to 26, followed by an unscripted episode on April 29.

When Kristoff St. John died on February 3 at the age of 52, “The Young and the Restless” immediately aired a tribute episode to honor him and his character on the soap. However, many fans were not satisfied with how it turned out.

CBS then revealed that “The Young and the Restless” was planning a longer tribute arc to give closure to the character’s disappearance in Genoa City and to honor St. John who had left a legacy in the soap world.

“The CBS Daytime Family will always value the legacy of Kristoff St. John and Neil Winters. A story will begin airing in late April where @YandR_CBS will pay tribute to both Kristoff and his beloved character, Neil Winters. Today’s tribute during #YR is only the beginning,” the network announced back then.

The storyline will kick off on Tuesday, April 23, in which Genoa City will learn that Neil Winters has passed way. It will carry on for the rest of the week, with several of the former Y&R cast members coming back to pay respect to the actor. Also on Friday, April 26, The Talk will have an intimate conversation with some of the actors that had a chance to work closely with Kristoff, such as Shemar Moore (Malcolm Winters), Victoria Rowell (Dru Winters), Christel Khalil (Lily Winters Ashby) and Bryton James (Devon Hamilton Winters).

Then, the unscripted episode on April 29 will feature appearances of former and current Y&R cast members as they remember St. John. CBS Daytime also revealed that on that day, every show in the daytime lineup will show a title card paying tribute to Kristoff at the end of each show.

“In the special episodes, Genoa City gathers to remember one of their own when Neil Winters passes away unexpectedly. Neil’s family and friends come from near and far to pay their respects and remember their cherished father, colleague, brother and friend,” the synopsis reads.

Among his family that are coming back are Malcom Winters (Shemar Moore) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Stan Shaw, Kristoff’s longtime friend, will play as the Reverend at Neil’s funeral. Kristoff St. John played Neil Winters for 28 years.
