Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis And Michael Baldwin Are Giving Adam A Run For His Money

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) always has that snarky smirk on his face on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) is attempting to wipe it off.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) thought she had done just that, but actually only accomplished part of her goal. While she realized that her own personal accomplishment was lost, she scored a series of victories for those she cares about. And that’s what matters most to her.

Phyllis believed that Adam was distracted by all of the personal drama he’s caused. Of course, he doesn’t recognize the persecution complex that he’s created in his own mind.

Instead, Adam chooses to truly believe that everyone is out to get him. Though in this case, Phyllis was and is. Regardless, current events didn’t dissuade Adam from keeping an eye on Dark Horse’s business matters.

The Grand Phoenix Hotel was to be Phyllis’ signature holding. Too bad that she didn’t read the fine print, as Adam advised with his trademark smirk. The property she’s been investing in is located in Detroit, Michigan, not in town, where she thought it was located, and will soon be demolished.

However, Phyllis was able to successfully return many of Newman Enterprises’ real estate assets to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) via a shell company Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) established to facilitate the purchased give-back. In turn, Nick told his sister that he wanted Newman to retain a number of properties that he’d basically stolen from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) since last summer.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) were surprised, no make that stunned, to learn that Phyllis was selling the Jabotiques back to Jabot. There were no strings attached, which was another part of her plan to make amends. Phyllis is shrewd. But as was proven above, she can be beaten.

Michael hasn’t always won every battle, but he’s determined to get Adam off his back. His next step, after cutting the puppet strings that were attached to Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) back, is to win a special election for the soon to be open District Attorney’s seat in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) didn’t know the underlying reason why Michael wanted to meet with her. After she admitted to not wanting to be GC’s DA any longer, Michael proposed himself as a candidate she could support.

The once and maybe again DA isn’t being underhanded with anyone other than Adam. Michael is plotting something, which Adam knows. Yet, Grossman’s character feels confident in his plan to control GC’s next head law man. Bets for either side on this one should be hedged, as both characters are playing dirty with each other.
