Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Promises 2020 Rise – Phoenix Rebirth Predicted

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will rise in 2020, as she predicted to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Currently without a job and a man, Red does have a cause. Yes, her own self-described redemption will play out as the new year starts.

The announcement that Stafford was leaving General Hospital (where she portrayed Nina Clay from 2014-2019) to return to the cast of Y&R was fully unexpected. It also signaled that decision-makers at her original daytime employer planned to write this character back to her fierce ways.

So, the arc that began when Stafford reclaimed her iconic role (which she was initially cast for in 1994) actually represents the rise of the Phoenix in at least two ways, meaning the actor’s return and now, the classic character’s rebirth.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Danny Romalotti Was First Target

Hardcore Y&R fans know that Stafford was the first Phyllis. She was the obsessed fan who glommed onto Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) in the mid-1990’s, when the then heartthrob was at the height of his singing stardom.

Phyllis came to claim that Danny was the father of her child, which ripped the relationship he had with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) to shreds and established on the the show’s all-time greatest rivalries and triangles. Of course Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) was actually another man’s son, with Phyllis knowingly lying in order to tie herself to Danny. She achieved her objective, but was never able to gain his love, as was desired.

Y&R Spoilers – Grand Phoenix Enables Visibility

Phyllis owns twenty-five percent of the Grand Phoenix Hotel due to her trademark double-dealing. She leveraged information against the commercial establishment’s other principal’s (Abby Newman, Melissa Ordway and Chelsea Lawson, Melissa Claire Egan) in order to gain her one-quarter stake foothold.

The ritzy and glitzy nature of this particular business venture has shifted Y&R’s cameras to its newest main public setting. Swarms of characters have passed through its doors, with plenty drama already part of the location’s mini history.

Such a spot is perfect for Phyllis, who wants to be part of the action. Plus, she’s positioned herself to be in the path of Y&R’s movers and shakers.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Reviving Personal Ties Is Important

Phyllis has purposely sought to make peace with a number of men she’s been connected to through the years. It’s plausible that one of them could be with her again, or these personalities at least remain renewed friends.

Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) heart-to-heart with Phyllis was touching. He was likely her best match way back when and maybe will be again. A Phack reboot is a reasonable possibility.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) smiles whenever he’s around Phyllis these days. That’s a reversal she’s earned through her purposeful reclaiming of Newman Enterprise properties and because of more recent, since resolved, relationship issues between the one-time Phick.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is looking in another direction. But at least Phyllis was able to make peace with the man she saw as an anti-Jack.

Adam is a frenemy, at best. Phyllis likes Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), but he doesn’t like her back. That means Phyllis will probably need to keep pushing in order to find her next one and only, unless a past love revives in 2020.
