Assuming that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) would be forced to sell her shares in the Grand Phoenix Hotel did prove out as correct.

However, Phyllis’ trademark arrogance blinded her to the reality that Abby would push back and do so during the pressured transaction. Abby’s creative mind allowed her to remove herself from an unwanted position, while also creating a way to fight back against.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Red Underestimates Her Enemies

Phyllis is underestimating her competition, again. This didn’t start with Abby but began when she gained damaging information about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz). Their Las Vegas, Nevada, connection served to fuel Phyllis’ efforts to forcefully oust both men’s significant others from the Phoenix.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) didn’t like what Phyllis did, but was actually okay with moving on from hotel management. She’s also fallen blissfully fallen back in love with Adam and has no desire to engage in petty battles.

Abby is falling in love with Chance but has a different take on Phyllis’ actions. Ordway’s character intends to win the long game.

Y&R Spoilers – Grand Phoenix Represents Elusive Goal

This hotel is Phyllis’ business baby. She’s convinced herself that gaining full control of the hotel will further her seemingly evolving goal of achieving whatever respect she supposedly deserves.

In reality, Phyllis has often wronged people. She’s not really a fighter, but a person who never learned how to get along with others, or maintain relationships without sabotaging them. Yes, this assessment is harsh, but it’s also one that Phyllis would agree with if she was seeking to be humble.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phick Sequel Offers Chance For Redemption

Y&R viewers are concerned for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). He’s been drifting back to Phyllis for months and appears close to restarting a relationship with her. Their enduring tie, though Summer Newman (Hunter King), has always made this option possible.

While Nick is no saint, he does have the ability to help Phyllis evolve. A revived Phick wouldn’t be without its chips. But there is a possibility that the love Nick would sincerely offer to Phyllis would allow her to shift her focus away from endless gotcha games.

Along with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Nick is one of Phyllis’ great romantic matches. Another Phick sequel doesn’t guarantee a smooth future but does offer an opportunity that Phyllis could make the most of, or at least use to become more compassionate.

      I am so happy that Abby turn the table on Phyllis Summer. Phyllis is her own worst enemies. I can’t wait to see what the name that Abby will used for her new hotel. I wouldn’t be shock to see that Abby will owning both Grand Phoenix and her new hotel in 2021 because Phyllis will be all talk and no action to back up her mouth.

      Must be nice to have that 500 billion in your bank account like Abby does, so you can do what you want. I would like to see Phyllis go broke or whatever also. She needs a wake up call. She is always involved in other peoples lives and nobody really seems to tell her to take flying leap. I would tell her if it was me…lol
