Seth (Brian Gaskill) recently was introduced to the show, and he seems very sweet, kind, and supportive. He also seems a little too “good” to be true.
During the Tuesday, January 16 show, Nikki was having coffee with Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) at Crimson, and the two had an intense conversation about Nikki’s drunken episode the night before.
Lauren had a front-row seat to it all, and while she was stern with her friend at first regarding the importance of staying clean, they also ended the conversation with Lauren promising to support Nikki in any way possible.
Seth stumbled into the coffee house near the end of the ladies’ chat. He tried to make it seem like he was okay, but he was acting odd; something Nikki herself noted to Lauren.

Could Seth have a major relapse and take Nikki along for the ride?
No one, including Nikki, knows Seth’s history and the reason why he’s an alcoholic. In fact, no one knows for certain that he hasn’t fallen off the wagon recently and simply not told anyone.
No one really knows anything about Seth, and because he’s so “nice” and always has a smile on his face, fans can’t help but think he’s shady.
Viewers have already been speculating the worst about Seth, on social media. From the idea that he could be working with Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) to the potential for him to become Nikki’s next stalker, or simply that he has mental health issues, the possibilities are endless.

If he goes AWOL, Nikki might go looking for him, and in his drunken stupor, he could try and kidnap or hold her hostage.
Y&R spoilers imply that Lauren will soon tell Nikki’s ex, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about her sobriety issues, and the two will want to do all they can to help her.
If Jack is brought into the loop about all this, her drinking issues will be on his radar; plus, he might find out about Seth being Nikki’s sponsor.
The Moustache Does Not Approve Of Seth
Of course, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has met Seth before, and The Moustache does not approve. His gut is usually right about people.
If Nikki goes missing, could Jack and Victor pull their resources together to save her? Victor might be the person who finds and rescues her, although if it did end up being Jack this could add a layer to this storyline where both Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) and Victor start to see their partners form a bond.
Y&R spoilers note that fans should expect the unexpected in 2024. The Moustache and Jackie have been long-time enemies in the past, but they’ve also been an unstoppable force when they team up to help a common loved one.
