Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Sharon Newman’s behavior continues to be a cause of concern for loved ones. Fans can feel as if disaster is on the horizon, and this may all culminate during a Sharon-centric episode set to air later in September.
Actress Sharon Case is celebrating 30 years as Sharon Newman on the Y&R, and recently had an interview with TV Guide, offering some interesting tidbits on what fans should expect during her special celebratory show.

Y&R fans are encouraged to mark Tuesday, September 24, which is the date set for Sharon’s 30th anniversary show.
Sounds like the special episode will revolve around Sharon’s current storyline where she continues to struggle with her daughter Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) death, and how this changed the course of her life, dramatically.
Still, unlike other times, Sharon is dipping into her dark side, and her Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) hallucination is certainly egging her on to do the unthinkable.
With that being said, both Sharon and fans know that Cameron is a figment of her imagination, so it’s not his “evil” thoughts prompting her, it’s her own.
This special epi might be the culmination of her current arc, but also provides interesting flashbacks of Sharon and her history in Genoa City over the past three decades.
Y&R Spoilers – Sharon Case Had Low Expectations
While Ms. Newman is a fan fav, Case told TV Guide she didn’t have high expectations when she first joined the Y&R in 1994. After all, daytime dramas can be a revolving door, right?
At the end of the day, Sharon Newman has evolved considerably over the years, which is a testimony to Case’s talent and dedication to her character.
The actress tells TV Guide, that Sharon becomes more interesting to her all the time, “not less”. So, if Sharon can get past this latest mental health hurdle, what does the future have in store? Only time will tell.

I have always liked Sharon’s role even when she was being bad. She’s done quite a lot of growing since she came onto the show all those year’s ago. Hard to believe it’s been that long. I hope her personal episode does well. I want to see that Cameron dude gone. He just makes me want to throw up.

This long drawn out, boring story line of Sharon and her mental status has done nothing for the show or for her career ! It is pathetic to watch ! It’s is going on far too long ! Please put an end to it now !! And also do not put her and nick back together ! He deserves someone “sane” !
This Sharon case is getting old just put her in a mental hospital. Enough is enough I have been watching young and restless for 50 yrs and it’s getting boring now it’s sad either make Sharon well or get her out??
