Young and the Restless Spoilers: Shey Still Has A Chance – Rey Comforts Sharon

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) still have a chance. While Rey ended Shey in the summer, because of Sharon’s existing feelings for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), a recent conversation seems to indicate that Shadam isn’t going to have a sequel.

Adam can never be counted out and Sharon’s fondness for Genoa City, Wisconsin’s, current top villain does matter. However, there is genuine chemistry between Rey and Sharon, which, if massaged by Y&R’s writing staff, could produce a Shey revival and possibly, marriage.

Sharon seems to have backed off her veer toward Adam. While cavorting with him a handful of weeks ago, she wasn’t able to tell Adam that she will reciprocate his purported love.

Adam did tell Sharon that he loves her with his whole heart and soul. Who knew he had either? Assuming one, or both, claims are true, the potential for Shadam still exists.

However, Adam told Sharon to leave his penthouse and not come back after she presented what he considered to be a sliver of herself, when he wanted a full relationship. That sends her to Rey.

Part of Sharon’s friendship pitch to Adam included her knowledge that he actually loves Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) more than anyone. He recently claimed that he’d made a mistake in characterizing whatever he feels for his ex-wife and mother of his first-born son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

The above is just another spin session by Adam. He surely loves Chelsea, as in present tense, more than anyone. Egan’s character’s rejection of him, upon her arrival in GC, cut deep. He never expected that and has gone wild ever since. Sharon rightly believes that whatever relationship she might attempt with Adam would be doomed by an inevitable Chadam reunion. Sure, Chelsea is with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) right now. But how long with that last?

Rey was seen as a safe choice just a short while ago. He proved to be an honorable man, in waiting until Ria was officially over before coupling with Sharon. But Sharon wasn’t able to restrain herself from her involvement in Adam’s endless string of personal issues.

Shey likely wouldn’t be without its soapy problems, but would provide both Sharon and Rey at a much better chance at personal happiness than either person has had in awhile. But Adam isn’t dead and he’s not going anywhere. So time will tell which couple Y&R opts to go with, if either.
