Young And The Restless Spoilers: Should Brad Carlton Come Back To Genoa City?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that it’s been a hot minute since Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) has been in Genoa City. The actor left the show in 2009 and quickly jumped over to the soap’s sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful (B&R).

He’s been playing Bill Spencer ever since; however, Y&R fans can’t help but miss him. Especially during a recent airing of some repeated episodes this holiday season.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Two Days Of Brad Carlton Sent Fans Swooning

Y&R spoilers note that the December 29th and January 1st shows were repeats from 2003. Both centered around Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) kidnapping of Colleen Carlton (Lyndsy Fonseca), where he burned Gina’s down, with his hostage locked in the freezer.

Of course, both Brad and Colleen’s boyfriend at the time, JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) were out of their minds trying to find her. They eventually rescued her at the end of the January 1st show, after JT pulled a massive stunt to get beyond rescue teams to “look” for her.

Y&R viewers were buzzing online about seeing Brad again. As he had a ton of screentime on both repeats, it had fans on social media wondering if there was any way the show could bring Mr. Carlton back.

Y&R Spoilers – Brad Carlton’s 2009 Death

While “anyone can come back” in soap theory, Brad’s death in 2009 was as final as they come. He drowned and froze to death in a lake during the winter trying to save a teenage Noah Newman (Kevin Schmidt) and his gal pal Eden Baldwin (Vanessa Marano) who were (literally) skating on thin ice.

The writers would have to craft a doozy for any believable storyline surrounding a Brad Carlton return. Still, would fans care?

The storylines that could explode upon Carlton strolling back into town would be phenomenal! From a reunion with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) – let’s face it, she could use some romance in her life – to a re-ignited rivalry with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and so much more!

Y&R audiences would be far too excited about his comeback to worry about the believability of his return, right?
