Young And The Restless Spoilers: Special Guests Return To Celebrate Eric Braeden’s 40th Anniversary

Eric Braeden is celebrating a significant milestone this week. He’s celebrating his 40th year anniversary in the show. Back on February 8, 1980, he debuted his character, Victor Newman, on the sudser. The show will also pay tribute to the actor and his legendary character with special episodes that will air from February 18-20. During this time, a few special guests will return to celebrate Braeden’s momentous achievement.

“I am enormously grateful to the writers and my fellow actors, and most importantly to (series creator) Bill Bell,” said Braeden.

The Young and the Restless – Looking Back At Victor’s Story

Here area few things worth remembering about Victor Newman. He used to have the name Christian Miller before he decided to change it. He had a few monikers including The Great Victor Newman, The Black Knight, and The Mustache.

Victor’s mother didn’t have the means to raise him and his brother so he was put into an orphanage when he was 7 years old. He first arrived at Genoa City to run Chancellor Industries for Katherine Chancellor. What used to be a purely business relationship turned into a lifelong friendship.

Victor died four times. Obviously, he didn’t really pass away. In two instances, he was presumed dead and faked his own death and went into hiding in the other two instances.

Viewers will see clips that date as far back as the 1980s during the three-day tribute. Fans will see Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) hosting a glamourous gala in celebration of Newman Enterprises’ 50th anniversary at the Top Of The Towers.

Of course, the Newman family will be in attendance along with familiar characters who’ve played a crucial role in Victor’s past and present. The returnees include Noah Newman (Robert Adamson), Julia Julia (Meg Bennett), and Matt Miller (Robert Parucha).

Y&R – Victor Newman’s Speech

Some Genoa City residents will also be dressed glamorously for the event. These include Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Chance Lawson (Donny Boaz), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), Noah Newman (Robert Adamson), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

During the event, Victor reveals that his company isn’t his crowning achievement, but his family. Of course, Newman Enterprises comes next. Some will find his speech entertaining but there are a few who will think otherwise, like Phyllis.
