The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will keep a secret from Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) in an upcoming episode of The Young and The Restless!
Young & The Restless Spoilers – Summer Newman Just Returned From A Business Trip
Summer Newman had just returned from a business trip and went straight to the offices of Jabot instead of home first, luggage and all. She had heard about the bomb dropped that her sometimes boyfriend, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) had been found to be related to the Abbott family through Dina Mergeron, (Marla Adams), making him and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) first cousins or at least first half-cousins!
Kyle told her how upset he was that his former buddy-turned-nemesis had climbed up his family tree and even met their grandmother! He is livid that his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) didn’t listen to him and consider the scoundrel as a wannabe after the Abbott family fortune!
Even Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) agreed with him that Theo was going to worm his way into Jack’s good graces, into the family business, and somehow pull a con and take everything all for himself! He also is upset that Theo is trying to get to Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) even though she’s told him they are just friends—Kyle doesn’t want Theo anywhere near her!

This puts Summer in an awkward position – Kyle is her boss and former husband, who she still has baggage for, and Theo is her current boyfriend or at least a friend with benefits; there doesn’t seem to be any kind of a commitment between Summer and Theo. Summer tells Kyle she’s not taking sides, although he wishes she would! She then left and stopped by the Grand Phoenix, where Lola also is for the time being after leaving Jabot after Summer, and Theo comes in and Summer gives him a peck on the cheek and asks should he be referred to as Vanderway or Mergeron? He tells her he’s the same old Theo and he missed her. Then they headed to a suite for more important business.
Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman Won’t Take Sides Between Kyle Abbott And Theo Vanderway
Theo might try to get out of Summer any intel that she may have gotten from Kyle, as to what has been going on in the background, so to speak, of his welcome to the Abbott family and if there is anything he should worry about. He may or may not talk to her about Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) welcoming attitude and her job offer for him to work with her in Paris.
But Summer will probably not tell Theo anything of what Kyle said about him to her, because she won’t take sides between the two. She won’t tell Theo what was said about him behind his back by Kyle, nor will she tell Kyle anything Theo says to her about Kyle behind his back! She will keep secret what Kyle told her from Theo and likely refer him to the source! The middle is not a good place to be!
