Y&R spoilers for the week of August 7th imply that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will help Summer look forward to a new beginning.

He’s been a great friend for the newly separated young executive, and the two have gotten quite close since he was the lead cop placed on her mother’s “murder” investigation.

In fact, many viewers believed that the two may turn hookup; however, Chummer has hit an obstacle since Chance became romantically linked to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), recently.

Still, as someone who separated from their spouse not too long ago (and a child was involved, too), Chance knows all too well how it feels to see your partner start a life with someone else, while you remain single.

He’s with Sharon now, but to get over the breakup with Abby Newman-Abbott, perhaps Chance tried a dating app. Maybe it helped him get over the hump of his marriage crumbling apart. Could Summer give the idea a chance?
