Summer Newman (Hunter King) is trying to give Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) some good advice on The Young and the Restless. King’s character believes that she knows Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) better than anyone, including Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

Lola appreciates what Summer is trying to do, but doesn’t believe that tips about her romantic life are necessary and surely isn’t requesting input. It’s understandable that Calle’s character feels this way because Summer just arguably stole her husband.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kola’s End Equals Skyle’s Revival

It’s hard for Lola to see what Summer is really saying. No normal human being would be able to separate the end of their marital relationship that resulted after Kyle’s proclaimed realization that he always loved King’s character more than Lola, with a simultaneous acceptance of what’s best post-‘Kola’.

The revival of ‘Skyle’ didn’t seem in the making until the last few months when Y&R either made a decision to move back in that direction or followed through on what were existing plans to put Summer and Kyle together again.

The reunion of two characters who were together multiple times in the past and were married before the ‘Kola’ nuptials makes logical sense. However, the feeling of ‘Kola’ being sacrificed after a year-plus storyline put them together has left fans of that couple feeling blue.

Y&R Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Not Looking To The Past

Kyle didn’t want to admit who he actually loved. He seemingly buried his deepest emotions while pursuing Lola as a response to how badly Summer treated him.

Summer alienated Kyle when she forced him to marry her. He resented the momentary Mrs. Abbott and quickly divorced her shortly after their negotiated wedding happened. Kyle was panicked during that time in the plot because Lola needed a liver transplant, which Summer traded in order to put the Abbott last name aside of her own.

But all of the above is behind Kyle now. He’s come to see Summer as his genuine destiny. At the same time, Kyle remains concerned that his loathsome cousin is already taking advantage of Lola.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Theo Vanderway Looking Ahead

Theo acts differently around Lola than he did when Summer was part of his romantic life. Yes, he thought Summer was attractive and he still does. But Lola is someone Theo appears to be falling in love with.

Summer’s warning to Lola shouldn’t be discarded because Theo does have a number of chips on his shoulder. He’s come from a different background than his cousin, Kyle, which actually serves as a reason why he’s bonded with Lola.

Commonalities and common history drew Summer and Kyle back together. While they don’t share a backstory, Lola and Theo do share class ties. It’s on that basis and clear physical chemistry, that Lola is proceeding, even considering what Summer has said about Theo.
