Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that the friction and the competition between Theo and Kyle have gone over the top, even though there is no more issue of being romantic rivals. Kyle has been making it almost impossible for Theo to do his job at work and has been turning down every idea that he has, and Theo knows that it’s not because he has bad ideas – it’s because Kyle wants to run him out of the company, and out of the Abbott family even though he is related through Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams)!

Theo is finally driven to desperation and decides to take over the company and rid himself and Jabot of Kyle for good! He has enlisted Kyle’s assistant, Kendra (uncredited actress) to find some dirt on Kyle that he can bring to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to show him that Kyle isn’t the CEO material that he thought he was! Kendra had brought in a file in a recent episode of The Young and The Restless, as Theo had been talking to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) in the kitchen at Society – she asked him if he and Kyle were working on something together, but he just told her he wanted to go above and beyond to get the boss’s attention.

Theo went to the dining room with Kendra, took the file, and told her not to worry about the not so inconspicuous exchange and to keep the information on Kyle coming, and he’d take care of her once he was in charge!

Y&R Spoilers – Theo Vanderway Continues To Look For Dirt On Kyle Abbott

Theo will try another method to look for dirt on Kyle – he has Kendra look for his private emails. Kendra delivers them but Theo needs more – he knows that Kyle is way too sure of himself and is bound to make mistakes and he tells her to keep digging. There has to be something that he can use to take Kyle down with and continues to look for just the perfect weapon to force Kyle to use on himself, in essence. There has to be a major mistake somewhere, nobody is THAT good!

Better yet, if Theo can find something that Kyle has really messed up at Jabot and swept under the rug, or altered records, destroyed files, or SOMETHING that will REALLY make Kyle look bad, that’s what Theo needs! It’s simply a matter of survival – if Theo doesn’t take Kyle down and take over Jabot himself, then Kyle will do the same thing to push Theo out! It’s become cutthroat between Kyle and Theo – and if Theo can’t come up with something to push him out, he’ll be without a job!

      Kyle’s character has been ruined for me marrying and divorcing two women in such a short space of time. All the office sex and relationship choices are immature. I don’t believe he is capable of running Jabot.

      Theo’s character has not been written very clearly and I feel because of this both the character and actor has suffered. Personally I would like to see Theo fall for Lola and grow up, realize this fighting with Kyle is childish. I would like to see him inherit the bulk of Dina’s estate and go on to run a successful high end food supply chain investing with Lola. Do they end up together who knows but those two could have real potential and be so much more interesting.
