Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday August 22: Sharon Gives Adam An Answer, Chelsea’s Business Deal, and Phyllis Faces Off Against Victor

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday August 22nd indicate that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will give Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) her answer regarding his marriage proposal, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) strikes a new business deal, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) faces off against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Victor is at Newman Enterprises chatting with his son Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), the two talk about the restraining order against Adam. Victor also tells Nick he wants to see Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) during the next visitation.

Phyllis storms into Victor’s office and accuses him of sabotaging her life. He retorts that she has nobody to blame, but herself for her downfall. He says he was looking out for Abby’s best interest when he told her of Phyllis’ plan.

Phyllis is upset that everyone is trying to take her down, and Victor brings up how she turned her back on Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Victor warns her to never cross a Newman, then says she and Adam will both go down. Phyllis says to never underestimate her and once she’s done with him, he’ll lose everything. Victor responds, “bring it on.”

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis prepares for her meeting with Chelsea. Miss Lawson arrives late and keeps Phyllis waiting while she gets coffee. Chelsea senses there’s a reason behind Phyllis’ fidgety behavior and asks why. Phyllis talks about Chelsea’s inheritance and says she could use it to invest in The Grand Phoenix.

Chelsea reminds Phyllis that she accused her of murdering Calvin Boudreau (John Burke) to get the money. Phyllis shrugs off the comment, then talks about why The Grand Phoenix is a good business opportunity. When Chelsea learns that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is involved in the deal, she tells Phyllis she’ll think it over. After their meeting, Chelsea leaves Nick a voicemail.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Is Double-Crossed

Chelsea meets Abby at Society and discusses kicking Phyllis out of the deal so Chelsea can take her place. Abby thinks Chelsea wouldn’t be interested in the job, but Chelsea is adamant she wants it. Abby is still unsure and also warns Chelsea that Phyllis won’t be happy. Chelsea says she can handle Phyllis and asks Abby if for an answer.

Phyllis arrives later to tell Abby about asking Chelsea for a loan, Abby informs Phyllis she’s taken back the offer and the job has been filled. Chelsea appears and gloats to Phyllis. An angry Phyllis lashes out and calls Chelsea a bitch. Abby then brings up how Victor overheard Phyllis’ plan to squeeze Abby out of their deal. Phyllis vows that they’re going to regret what they did. After Phyllis storms off, Abby and Chelsea celebrate their deal.

At the penthouse, Sharon tells Adam she can’t marry him. He responds by saying it’s not exactly a no and believes she wants to be with him. Sharon brings up how she’s appalled by the way he’s treating his family. Adam says she can help him change, but she says she can’t. She then says she won’t let him bring her down, not after she’s turned her life around.

Adam proclaims his love for Sharon and says he can give her the life she deserves. He asks her to reconsider his proposal and she again turns him down. Adam continues to persuade Sharon to change her mind, but she reminds him they’re toxic together. Adam feels that Nick’s behind Sharon’s decision, but she tells Adam she’s not going to be forced into doing something she doesn’t want. He orders her to get out, then once she leaves he throws a glass against the fireplace. Later Adam receives a call from Chelsea, who wants to meet with him to discuss Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Sharon is walking in the park when she bumps into Nick. He notices she’s upset and they go to the Dive Bar to talk. Sharon tells him about Adam’s marriage proposal, but she turned him down. She says that Adam knows her deepest secrets, and Nick remarks that Adam knows how to push someone’s buttons. Sharon mentions Adam’s comment that they’re both alike, that they have something dark inside them. Nick assures her that’s not true and hugs her. Chelsea and Adam walk in, and spot Nick and Sharon’s embrace.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) are still on their honeymoon. There’s a storm, which leaves the couple unable to get out to enjoy sightseeing. Cuddled together in bed, the couple discusses their future. Kyle says that Lola will be a famous chef and make Society a successful restaurant. As for him, he’ll buy Newman Enterprises and merge it with Jabot. Lola says she has a different version of the future, which consists of her being a cooking show host, having a baby, and Kyle being a stay at home dad. Kyle says he doesn’t mind that scenario, he just wants to be with her.
