The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are getting cozy as business partners. Does this mean Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) is due to make a return to try and win his ex back?

Cane and Lily were a match made in heaven until they weren’t—he was a bit of a bad boy one too many times before Lily woke up and came to her senses. That, and the prison has a way of bringing clarity to the most muddled of minds.

But you know what they say—some of us want what we can’t have and that would certainly apply to Cane.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Cane Ashby Is Done Chasing After His Dad Colin Atkinson

Cane and Lily were way over before he took his leave to bring his bad dad Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) to justice. Colin is a bit of a cad, which is where Cane obviously comes by his shadiness.

In fact, Cane and Colin have a dark past with organized crime part of their history. After Colin recently took Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) billions and conveniently gave it to Cane, no one knew what to think.

Cane decided to find his dad, but Colin has now been arrested leaving Cane free to return to Genoa City.

This is an especially attractive option given that his ex Lily is back in town. Cane was always a fool for her, and we have no reason to believe that anything has changed. Except that Billy and Lily are now working together and appear on the road to romance.

While Lily has made it clear that she’s done with Cane, they share children together so there will always be that connection between them. Plus, Cane didn’t want to end their marriage, Lily did.

It would be perfect timing if Cane returned now. His business abroad is done, and he has crazy mad skills as a businessman.
