Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate the Friday, August 9 show had some interesting moments. One such example was Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) turning to her grandfather Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for help with her custody battle against Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

The Moustache had a stern warning for Kyle to clear the drama up where Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) was concerned, and as Victor is his boss, he may be scared straight enough to do so. It sounds like it won’t be long until Summer gets the custody agreement she’s looking for.

But will Victor want something in return from Summer?

Y&R spoilers state that later during Friday’s show, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) caught wind of the fact that Summer turned to her grandad for help.

She’s now concerned that The Moustache will ask his granddaughter for something, as Victor is never one to help people without a stipulation.

Summer fluffed off her mother’s ramblings. After all, Phyllis isn’t a Newman, and she wouldn’t understand the bond between family members.

Summer believes her grandfather may be like that with other people, but not his own granddaughter. Summer is likely wrong about this.

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman Has A Plan – Could Summer Help Him With It?

Victor is all over the place when it comes to revenge against the Abbotts. He was successful in his hostile takeover with Glissade and appointed Kyle as co-CEO in an effort to get back at Jack Abbott.

Meanwhile, he has his sights set on Abbott-Chancellor as his next acquisition, looking to strike at Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

He helped Summer out with her custody issues, so could he ask for a favor in return? Will he pull her into working at Newman or possibly Chancellor Industries? Could he ask her to spy on the Abbotts? After all, she’s at the mansion quite a bit, thanks to Harrison!

At the end of the day, Phyllis’s concern during Friday’s show seems to foreshadow that Victor will come to Summer with a request when she least expects it. What will it be, and how far will Summer have to go to “pay her grandfather back” for his help?
