Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Needs Paul’s Help – Doug Davidson Back In Action

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) needs to work with Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) again. While they’ve clashed through the years, this pairing also combined their forces to achieve many seemingly improbable outcomes.

Genoa City’s Chief of Police isn’t seen as often as he was during Y&R’s glory days. But Paul’s specialized skill set can prove valuable to Victor, who is facing challenging family problems that are also linked to two deaths Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) caused.

The Young And The Restless Comings And Goings – Doug Davidson’s Iconic Status

Y&R fans were given a treat when Davidson introduced and closed out the first episode that honored Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor). The week’s themed classic episodes are dubbed Katherine the Great, in a fitting nod to the show’s all-time greatest actor and character.

Davidson’s tenure nearly dates back as far as Cooper’s. She debuted during Y&R’s first year on the air in 1973. Davidson joined the cast in 1978. Paul was initially a private detective and eventually became Genoa City, Wisconsin’s, Chief of Police.

The actor’s more than four-decade career at Y&R includes three Daytime Emmy Award nominations (2003, 2010, and 2011). He earned the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2013.

Davidson was most recently on recurring contract status, which allows Paul to appear from time to time.

Y&R Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Legal Quandary

It’s one thing for Victor to want to keep Adam’s past concealed. But his son’s enemies are lurking and surely won’t allow him to avoid justice forever.

Two recent deaths have been tied to Adam. One, the attack that led to the death of A.J. Montalvo (no actor’s name known for this retrospective role). The other, the self-defense act that Adam acknowledged when he and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) were in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The more recent incident led to the death of a criminal Chance was tracking, with the deceased man’s true cause of death apparently being cloaked.

CBS Young And The Restless Spoilers – Paul Williams Involved In Arrest

Paul and his top officer, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), appear primed to handle Adam’s arrest. Whether that happens because of the death Adam caused in Kansas when he was only eleven-years-old, or due to the newer incident, when he acted in self-defense in Vegas, is any fan’s best guess.

Victor can provide Paul with the details about the Kansas incident, while likely trying to conceal the bribe the Moustache paid to the Coroner. But the death that happened in Nevada is more daunting because of the dead man’s widow, who lurks as the threat to discover what happened and then seek vengeful justice.

Yes, but I have always believed his character deserved more respect. As GC’s COP I would like to see Paul not take crap from Victor or anyone else in this city. Characters shouldn’t be permitted to storm into his station and mouth off at him it’s rediculous. I have even seen the likes of Chloe do it! I hate how Kevin has sat right outside his office giving criminals like Phyllis information, it just diminishes Paul’s character to a joke. Doug Davidson is worth more as an actor and as Paul his character. Give this guy a break, he is certainly a better actor Than Ms Stafford and his character would be way more interesting than Phyllis if given the opportunity. He could even look equally as attractive and feminine given a long red wig, a dress and high heels.

I think he needs more airtime – he hasn’t been seen enough for newer viewers like myself to really get to know him.
