Bergman states during his interview that Y&R rivalries are the “fabric” of the soap. He points to Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) versus Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), as well as Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott); however, there are plenty of others.

In fact, Peter believes that fans tune in to see these feuds just as much as the other storylines the daytime drama is known for.
