Young and the Restless Spoilers – The Newman gala continues

A brief flashback is shown of a scene featuring Victor and his mother Cora Miller (formerly Dorothy McGuire). The scene then cuts to the Top of the Tower as the gala gets underway. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) steps on stage to welcome guests and say they’re here to honor Victor, who then takes the microphone. Victor recalls his journey as a businessman. He talks about the early days where he sold soap out of the back of his car, then he came to Genoa City and worked hard to make his business a success. Another flashback shows John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), Brad Carlton (Don Diamont), and Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) with Victor.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Nikki and Victor’s relationship

Nikki is the next guest to step up, and she talks about her relationship with Victor. Flashbacks include a scene of the early stages in Victor and Nikki’s relationship. They talk about getting married at the ranch, and Victor vows nothing will ever come between them. Nikki tells Victor that it’s always been a thrilling and sometimes heartbreaking journey with him, and she can’t imagine life without him. Another flashback scene shows Nikki in a disguise sneaking into Victor’s office.

It goes back to the gala, where Victor has joined Nikki on stage. Victor says they have had their share of problems, but he loves her more than anything. Everyone claps as the couple shares a kiss.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – The kids’ touching tribute

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) gets up to give her speech. She says Victor is her mentor at work, and someone she trusts. He’s always there for her when she needs him. A flashback scene shows father and daughter sharing a moment before Victoria’s wedding.

Victoria wraps up her speech by saying she’s the heir to Newman Enterprises, then gives the microphone to Nick. He starts off his speech by saying he wasn’t cut out for the corporate world like his father. The flashback scene shows Victor giving Nick his first office at Newman Enterprises.

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is the next to come onstage. She talks about how Victor is a person you can lean on whenever trouble occurs. She then talks about a motivational discussion she and Victor had when he told her she is a strong woman.

After Abby finishes, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) asks if he can say a few words. A flashback shows Victor with Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) after she’s given birth to Adam. Victor is holding his son and talking about how beautiful he is. The scene goes back to Adam’s speech. He says that he and Victor have an invisible bond that always keeps them connected. Adam brings up their past and hopes this is a new beginning for them. Adam says he’d like to have a relationship with his father and his siblings. Victor says he’d love that. As Victor and Adam hug, Nick, Victoria, and Abby glance at each other.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Surprise guests

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is the next guest to speak and he talks about his and Victor’s famous feud. A flashback shows the men in a heated argument and Victor smashing things in the room. As Jack’s finishing his speech, he says they’ll never be another person like Victor.

Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) goes up next. She talks about the relationship she and Victor have had over the years, and a flashback shows a young Ashley on a romantic date with Victor.

Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) then gets up and talks about how meeting Victor leaves a lasting impression on you. A flashback shows a young Paul returning Victor’s stolen money.

Jill is the next guest to go onstage and purrs “Hello, old friend” to Victor. Everyone laughs at the interaction between Jill and Victor. The flashback shows Jill and Victor in their younger days with her trying to seduce him.

After Jill, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) gets up and explains there’s never a dull moment with Victor.

Victor and his brother Matt Miller (Robert Parucha) get up onstage. Victor and Matt reflect on the pain they felt at being abandoned at the orphanage by their mother. Victor then talks about his confrontation with his father Albert Miller (formerly George Kennedy). Matt says that years later he and Victor would reconnect. Matt says it wasn’t easy, but they found a way to heal from their past wounds. The brothers then share a hug.

Victor thanks everyone for coming and for the walk down memory lane. Victor goes around mingling with the guests and chats with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) about how much he misses Neil. Nikki then asks for everyone attention and says she has a surprise for her husband. Victor and the guests follow her into another room, where she’s created an art gallery with portraits of Victor. Nikki says Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) helped her with the photos. Nikki then dims the lights as colored lights fill the room.

After the show, Victor briefly chats with his first wife Julia Newman (Meg Bennett) before escorting her to the door. Across the room, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) tells Adam she’s proud of him, and he says he thinks this is a new beginning for him and his dad.

Victor and Nikki say goodbye to Matt, then afterwards the couple has some alone time. Victor thanks Nikki for the celebration and jokes that he’s surprised everyone said nice things about him. He tells her she’s the most important person in his life, and the two kiss.

    I remember as a kid being intrigued with the Jill/Catherine/Philip chancellor storyline. I liked to watch the Brooks and snapper. I remember when Victor Newman became a part of this show. It’s still a very good show and I still enjoy the Newman family but I do miss the Winters family.
