Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday September 4: Adam and Phyllis Hack Nate’s Files, Kyle and Summer Work Together, and Jack Reaches Out

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday September 4th indicate that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) hack into Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) tablet, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) adjust to their new working relationship, and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) receives word from her brother.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Newman Family Gathering

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) stops by the ranch to see her parents Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). She tells them that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has checked into rehab. She says Billy’s been having a tough time since Adam’s return and has been haunted by dreams of Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono). Victoria also brings up Billy knowing about Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) being alive, and feels that everything has taken a toll on Billy. Victoria says she doesn’t know which facility Billy is in and Victor says Billy may not be in rehab. Victor then brings up Chloe being the one who shot Adam, and Victoria believes Chloe did it and Billy knew about it.

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) arrives with dinner, then Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) stops by shortly afterwards. Abby mentions her run-in with Adam and his promise that she’s not part of his vendetta. Nikki brings up Victor’s confrontation with Adam and Victor feels that Adam’s plotting his revenge.

After a while Nick leaves, and Abby talks with Victor about his health and he reassures her that he’s fine. They then discuss Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) leaving town. Victor says he gave Jack the idea, and Abby says with Jack gone, Kyle’s the new CEO. Nick returns with Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) and the family settles down for dinner. Abby talks about the grand opening of The Grand Phoenix and everyone promises they’ll be there. When Abby talks about her partnership with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Victor comments it’s better than having to deal with Phyllis.

Later Victor is cuddling with Christian on the couch and Victor says he’s where he belongs. Nick thanks his dad for his support throughout the ordeal.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – Adam Steals Nate’s Tablet

Adam arrives at Society and sits down to chat with Nate. While they’re talking, Adam places a newspaper on top of Nate’s tablet. When their discussion turns to Victor’s health, Nate realizes the reason for Adam’s friendly chat. Adam says that even though he and his father have their problems, he cares about Victor’s well-being. Nate informs Adam that Victor’s making remarkable progress. Their conversation is interrupted when Nate gets a call, when he excuses himself Adam steals Nate’s tablet.

Later Phyllis arrives at Adam’s penthouse and asks if Chloe tried to run him down. Adam tells Phyllis about Chloe shooting him, and how he kidnapped her and held her captive until Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) became the new D.A. Adam says that Victor’s still the number one suspect behind the incident. Adam then pulls out Nate’s tablet and orders Phyllis to hack into it. His plan is to learn more about Victor’s medication and to tweak the dosage to cause side effects.

Adam informs Phyllis when Victor’s condition worsens, the family will gather around him and that’s when they’ll strike with their plan. Phyllis is unsure because Summer is part of the Newman family and asks why she should get involved. Adam says to do it because of their friendship and his gratitude. Phyllis agrees, but says she wants more in return. Phyllis hacks into the system and switches the dosage, once she’s finished she says she’s erased their footprint.

Later Abby meets Nate at Society for a drink, Nate realizes his tablet’s missing and realizes Adam must have taken it.

Young and the Restless Spoilers – The Abbotts Adjust Without Jack

Kyle is at the Abbott mansion with Traci. He informs her that Jack’s left town and has appointed him as CEO. Traci says she knew Jack was unhappy for a while and understands him leaving. She also tells Kyle that he’ll do a good job as CEO and make his father proud.

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis is having coffee with Summer. She apologizes for her behavior the other day and says she’s upset about Abby and Chelsea forcing her out of the project. Phyllis tells Summer to continue on with the job. Phyllis makes a comment about how eventually Abby and Chelsea are going to screw up. Summer brings up her concern about Nick being with Chelsea and says she doesn’t like living with them. Phyllis offers to help her find a new place to live, but Summer refuses. Their chat is cut short when Summer receives a text from Kyle, as Summer is leaving she tells her mother to stay out of trouble.

Kyle is at the Jabot office on the phone with his aunt Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). When he hangs up, Summer comes in and Kyle tells her about Jack leaving town and Billy being in rehab. She’s stunned when Kyle says he’s the new CEO and he’ll be her boss. Summer asks how Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) feels about them working together. But Kyle reminds Summer that she and Lola are working with a clean slate. He also tells Summer that they were a great team and if they work together they can take Jabot to new heights.

Summer agrees and they start working on their next campaign. When Summer receives a text from Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) asking her for a date, she declines. Kyle and Summer talk about the possibility of having influencers on Jabot’s social media the night of The Grand Phoenix opening. After their meeting, Kyle tells Summer working together is phenomenal. When Summer leaves, Kyle sits in his chair with a smile on his face.

Jack is driving in the car when he calls Traci. He tells her he’s fine and the trip is to relax and recharge. Traci asks Jack to call whenever he can and says she hopes he finds what he’s looking for. After their call, Jack looks at a brochure for a place called The Pine Forest Inn and Spa.
