The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) does appear to be Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) rightful heir to half of her fortune. But why would she have left nearly two and a half billion in total worth to him?
The statue of limitations has passed regarding anyone’s seeming ability to challenge what appeared to be the real will that was read in 2013, after the Grande Dame’s passing. So, fans would think that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will have to make an eventual decision that will dramatically alter his life and Cane’s.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Daniel Goddard’s Cast Exit
With whatever proves out regarding Katherine’s will, Goddard announced his cast exit via social media this week. That behind-the-scenes information appears directly tied to the developing storyline.
In all likelihood this decision is fueling Cane’s unknown bounty and seeming write-out. Of course it’s possible that the character Goddard has portrayed since 2007 could be recast. But if not, then this is Cane’s last storyline, unless the character returns to Genoa City, Wisconsin, again someday.

Y&R Spoilers – Amanda Sinclair’s Connection
A clever write-back of the great Mishael Morgan (whose original role was Hilary Hamilton) involves Amanda Sinclair (Morgan’s now realized second Y&R alter ego) being the lawyer who initially delivered the controversial news that no one wanted to believe.
Fans haven’t yet confirmed that Chance Chancellor (as last played by John Driscoll) is actually Amanda’s client. The attorney seems uncertain of that plot point herself and recently referred to “an old jerk” as someone she’s been in contact with. That could prove to be anyone from Cane’s father, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers), to Jeffrey Bardwell (Ted Shackelford), or even Ian Ward (Ray Wise).
On a more personal basis, Hevon expired with Hilary’s passing. So reviving the terrific on-screen chemistry that Morgan and James projected creates the strong potential for a couple that could be nicknamed Demanda.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Katherine Chancellor’s Motivation Considered
While Katherine was very fond of Cane, she didn’t seem to trust him more than anyone else in the months leading up to her passing. But maybe Cane will be revealed as being related to her, or some yet to be known factor influenced her decision?
Then again, the apparent real will pages could be revealed as part of an elaborate ruse. With whatever proves true, the tale that’s unfolding is intriguing.
