The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) serious mental illness, Dissociative Identity Disorder, will get worse and his dark side, which will become darker, will gravely affect his relationship with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Young & The Restless – Billy Abbott’s Condition Is Serious And He Is Not Getting Professional Help

Billy’s condition is very serious and he is not getting professional help for it currently; his close friend and ex-wife Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) wants to help him, and has prevented him from running over Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but doesn’t realize what she is getting into. She only made matters worse for Billy regarding his relationship with Victoria by sending her a text that he was not on a business trip but in rehab for gambling.

Victoria, not knowing anything about his mental troubles other than his being in deep grief over the death of Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) and not handling it well, traumatic memories having come up when Adam, who ran her over, came back to Genoa City. Victoria has no idea how ill Billy really is, and could easily take his behavior as him cheating on her; she’s already suspicious and checking up on him, although she expressed it to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as concern in a recent Y & R episode!

Y&R Spoilers – The Best Thing That Could Happen For Billy Abbott Is A Judicial Commitment

The best thing that could happen for Billy is for a family member to take out judicial commitment papers on him, so he could be diagnosed and receive treatment for his disorder. The criteria of one being a danger either to himself or others has been plainly proven by his attempting to run over Adam, and not remembering what he did – which to Victoria may seem like lies.

Chloe recognizes that he truly doesn’t remember what he did, but she is not qualified to treat him although she can be a good friend and help with his grief, having been Delia’s mother. Even Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) tried to talk Chloe out of trying to heal Billy herself, recognizing that he needs professional help!

Young & The Restless – Most Of His Family Members Are Out Of Town Right Now

Jack Abbott, being the family patriarch would probably be the best person to take on the task of a judicial commitment, were Chloe or Kevin to bring up the topic, but they are afraid that they will be charged with kidnapping, keeping Billy in the Chancellor boathouse and Chloe trying to deal with the situation by herself!

The best thing she could do is call 911 and have them pick him up, but she wants to help Billy all by her lonesome, which is the exact wrong thing to do! Meanwhile, Adam thinks Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) tried to run him over and now has tampered with his meds, setting off a whole row of dangerous dominoes that could harm innocent people because of Chloe’s meaning well but using extremely poor judgment!
