It’s been a hot minute since Malcolm has been in town. The last fans saw him was when he returned for a special show that honored the life of his brother, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), back in 2019. As time has passed, there has been a ton of friction between the Winters cousins. While the good news is that Lily and Devon have made amends, Nate is still estranged from the family. Can Malcolm help bridge the gap between these three?

Sure, Nate messed up, big time. Turning on his family to help Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Newman Enterprises was the wrong thing to do. To boot, Hastings has not really been acting like himself since he made the career jump from medicine into the corporate world. Perhaps, a reminder of who he is and where he came from is needed. Malcolm can do just that. After all, he isn’t only Nate’s uncle, he once acted as a father figure to Hastings as a child. Can Malcolm talk some sense into him?

Perhaps Winters will try and call a family meeting (or something of that sort) to bring these three together. As Neil’s brother, he may be able to get through to them. After all, he and Neil struggled in their sibling relationship for many years. He may remind Lily, Devon, and Nate that life is too short for fights and feuding. No one knows how much time anyone has left, and Neil’s passing is a good reminder of that.
