Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Adam Newman Borrows A Page From Victor’s Playbook

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has long been thought of as his father’s favorite for provable reasons on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He arguably acts like the ‘Moustache’, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), more often than his other three children.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), in particular, has never liked the dynamic his younger brother brought to the family. It was fully about Nick no longer being the only male offspring. Instead, it was about Adam’s consistently self-promoting, devious behavior. The arrival of Adam in 2008, as then played by Chris Engen, established a fierce sibling rivalry that has now taken a sharp paternity turn.

When last viewers saw him, Adam, as then played by Justin Hartley in 2016, was asking Nick to watch out for Connor Newman (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). Adam was serious, as he anticipated being in jail for many years, due to his having beaten a prison guard while in a fit of demented rage where a vision of Victor was tormenting him.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Wants Christian Back

Now as the summer is set to begin three years later, Adam is not displeased with how Nick cared for Connor, as both he and his mother, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) aren’t in Genoa City. Instead, Adam wants his other son, Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen), back.

In whip quick fashion, Adam used Phyllis Summers’ (played by the departing and always great, Gina Tognoni) hacking skills to learn that Dark Horse is twenty-seven million dollars in debt. Having paid Phyllis two-and-a-half million for her services left Adam with forty-seven-and-a-half million remaining from the payoff Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) gave him to leave town, which he obviously didn’t do.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Takes Advantage Of Nick’s Financial Vulnerability

Adam’s phone call to a financier happened moments after he gained knowledge of Nick’s financial vulnerability. Adam’s goal would seemingly take far more time to achieve in the real world. In Genoa City, this storyline then moved directly to the intended point of conflict.

Nick must either make a deal for Christian on Adam’s terms, or face a calamity where Dark Horse is concerned. Inflamed that his prodigal brother is using business as a weapon to claim Christian, Nick recognizes Victor in Adam’s dark, soulless eyes.
