Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) entered the custody hearing on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He was over-confident and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was ready for that miscalculation.
Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) was again forced to do Adam’s bidding, as he told his brother. Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) believed he’d negotiated a release from that type of servitude. But Mikey was wrong.
Young and the Restless – J.T. Arc Never Dies
Just when fans thought they’d seen the last of the deeply extended arc that had J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) come back from the presumed dead, they hadn’t.
Adam’s latest assignment had Kevin use the obtained footage of Nick morphing into J.T. last year in order to play mind games with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). In it Nick is removing a Hollywood-esque special effects mask that made him look exactly like Luckinbill’s then assumed dead alter ego. In reality, Luckinbill appeared in some scenes where viewers were asked to believe that it was Nick behind the rubberized veil.
Young and the Restless – Playing Offense Twenty-four Seven
Adam is relentless, much like his namesake father used to be. Knowing that Nick held most of the logic cards, Adam entered the hearing not having told his lawyer what would drop.
The alert she received on her smartphone was followed by an identical one appearing on the judge’s electronic device. Both saw something shocking, with Morrow’s reaction shot having Nick appear extremely disconcerted.
There is no plausible explanation for why Nick would go after his father when he was recovering from two attempts that were made on his life by the notorious J.T. That’s why Adam’s planned response in front of the judge, where he asked Nick how he could do such a thing to their father, was so effective.

Young and the Restless – Bad Influence On Christian Questioned
It’s so diabolical that it’s hard not to give Adam a compliment on his plan, though it must be a backhanded one. Instead of allowing Nick to sway the judge’s thinking about who would be the better influence on Christian, Adam opted to dump a full can of glue on Nick’s judgment.
Sure, Nick will know that Adam orchestrated the timing of that video appearing during the hearing. But the point wasn’t and won’t be when that hit job took place, but what Nick was thinking in 2018.
Hardcore Y&R fans recall that Morrow was asked by the powers that be what aspect of his character he’d like to explore at this point in his tenure on the soap. He was on board with showing Nick’s dark side. Leave it to Adam to exploit one of his brother’s poorest periods, where he was playing the bad guy.

Little too early to predict , plenty is going down tho’ ! It’s a fight to the finish ! Victor is taking a back seat to it all with Nikki having a ” good ole ” time somewhere , I would have thought he would want to see the ” carnage ” ….
The family will come together all except Adam ( he has never except being a Newman) in 3 months Nick will get his son by that time maybe Michael will be able to help Nick or Adam has gone back to Las Vegas ( one can hope.)
Young and Restless has become disgusting. Someone tried to kill Adam, causing him to lose his memory. Now he remembers that he has two sons, AND HE SHOULD GET THEM BACK, AS IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT HE LOST THEM. The whole Newman family turning against Adam has been an extreme TURNOFF for me, and I plan to stop watching.
