Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Potential of Vane Can’t Be Denied – Victoria and Cane Give In

Yes, this pairing was unlikely on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But the potential for ‘Vane’ to actually form now exists. While that reality rightly stuns fans and certainly makes ‘Lane’ fans feel sad, there’s no doubt that Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) have a plot pathway that now allows them to be paired.
Christel Khalil’s (Lily) voluntary drop to recurring status last summer resulted in back office Y&R decision. Rather than write Lily out, she was just written off to jail.
Hopefully this solid actor continues to appear in scenes through next September, when Lily is scheduled to be released. At that time, Khalil may opt to return full-time, which would establish a major conflict, assuming that ‘Vane’ then exists.
Cane’s world was naturally decimated when the love of his life was forced to leave their home and three children at the end of summer. For awhile, he handled matters, but then Mr. Ashby reverted to his reckless patterns.

Drinking and feeling sorry for himself, Cane hasn’t been in a strong place for awhile. Meanwhile, Vickie’s been dealing with the horror show involving J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) death that she isn’t able to share with the world.
This potentially emerging couple’s jump start will likely have happened If viewers see Vickie confide in Cane in this regard. Despite their claims of not liking each other, there’s clear chemistry between this duo.
Billy (Jason Thompson) felt compelled to tell Lily about Cane’s involvement with Victoria. Mr. Abbott did so out of desperation in hopes of saving the latest ‘Villy’ reunion, which feels doomed as the Wisconsin winter winds rage on.
If accomplished, ‘Vane’ would be a major couple’s shift with significant implications for other connected characters, including ‘Lane’s’ and ‘Villy’s’ children. Also, the more time passes with increased meetings, be there kisses exchanged or not, the plausibility of Vickie and Cane developing strong feelings for each other will make more sense, though it still is a lot for Y&R fans to digest.

Billy, of course. They have a history together and Billy is Billy. Cane doesn’t fit in, whole different personality.
Agree with Joey, Billy all the way its always been Vikki and Billy they are like the Victor and Nikki love story no matter what they know each other better than they know them self, (does that make sense? lol). If anyone noticed that when Vikki first went over to Cane’s place to talk to him about the accident with Reed and Charlie she was suppose to be angry but she wasn’t very convincing, she had a look on her face like she was ready to break out laughing, and then again when he came to her house before they kissed she had a smile/on the verge of laughter again and they kissed, they have zero chemistry so can we please move on and get this j.t story line over. I have to say it was a terrible mistake to have Billy go and see Lily, Vikki will feel totally betrayed by this action and if Summer does come back as she is said to do with bun in the oven this will def turn Vikki off and I can see Billy and Phyliss getting back together, which sucks but such is life on these shows. lol
I don’t see Phyllis taking Billy back. She’s so hateful toward Victor so suddenly, because of what he did to her and Jack, so it seems more likely she’d return to Jack, not to the brother of his she cheated on him for. As to Summer, the baby could be Kyle’s, which would be great & would break up him & Lola!! Yay! Or it could be the random guy she was with when she first blew into town… Or let it be from some rich guy in Dubai! Do NOT let it be Billy’s, tho, that’s just way beyond disgusting!! And quite frankly, let her have a miscarriage, if she actually shows up preggers, cuz she’s way too immature to handle it, for one thing, and, cuz she’s on a hit nighttime show and just can’t be around Y&R all that much anyway, so why give her a kid?
It should be Billy and Victoria they’re meant to be together just like Victor and Nikki and Sharon and Nick
BEYOND STUPID!!! Came is acting like a whimpering IDIOT, just because Lily is away for a few months! Thank God he’s not married to a military wife who is deployed for a year at a time!!! Good grief! As to Victoria, she’s just over-reacting to Phyllis and the bitchy things she said about being a Left-over poor second choice since Billy tried to reconcile with her… First of all, WHY did Phyllis feel the need to drop that old bomb?! 2nd of all, why did Victoria have to act out her sense of hurt by kissing Cane?! They are HORRIBLE together?! Came loves Lily and is a hot mess! Victoria loves Billy and is a hot mess. Two such hot messes do NOT belong together!!!! And it’s totalky absurd anyway… Plus, there really is no chemistry. At. All. So they need to stop it! And get the JT story finished!!!

I would say, “Billy,” but if Summer is pregnant with Billy’s baby that won’t happen! Jill would prefer that Billy hooks up with Victoria again. Cane is a misfit and need to hook up with a local prostitute and keep his mouth shut.
