Y&R and B&B Filming Update: COVID-19 Tests On Cast Have Begun

CBS The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers and updates reveal that the cast and crew cannot return to work until certain measures are put in place. One of those is that everyone gets tested for COVID-19 and to have it come back negative. Well, we have great news! The testing has begun, which means we are very close to production being restarted.

Production Restart Updates

Recently, the state of California gave the okay to resume production, but only if local authorities, guilds, and actors unions agreed. Then, we were informed that Los Angeles County had given the green light. That meant that production was a few more steps in the right direction. We have a few new exciting updates to share with you.

Y&R and B&B Stars Tested For COVID-19

According to Twitter user @SpoilerGirl1, coronavirus tests have begun for the cast of The Young and the Restless as well as The Bold and the Beautiful. This was one of the safety protocols that had to be met before filming can start back up again.

The Bold and the Beautiful May Restart Next Week

In addition to that, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan Forrester, B&B) said during an Instagram Live chat that production restarting was coming soon. She stated that it could be as soon as next week as long as everything goes smoothly.

The Young and the Restless: Filming May Start Back Up Soon

As previously reported, Y&R star Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) showed off him getting his first haircut since lockdown began. Many speculated that this was a sign that filming was going to begin soon. It seems that the assessment was on target.
